On the 100th Anniversary of the longest automobile race of all time, it's the legendary Thomas Flyer - the greatest transcontinental racer looking like it did when it crossed the finish line in 1908. We've matched every detail to the original: from the hand-crank that revved the 4-cylinder engine to the spare tires lashed to the body, to the vintage-style lanterns and 45-star U.S. flag. The model is hand-assembled and hand-finished for that grit-and-grime look of the car that just finished a 22,000-mile trek from New York to Paris (via Siberia) over the world's toughest terrain.

1960 Chevrolet® Corvair™ 50th Anniversary - Limited Edition

Skala 1/24

In October 2, 1959, Chevrolet® introduced its first Corvair™. It was a radical departure from what Americans were used to seeing come off the production lines. Its unique air-cooled, rear-mounted engine, rear-mounted transaxle drive, suspension system and compact size set it apart from the large “land yachts” that Detroit had been producing for so long. Although the car was only a little more than four feet high and just fifteen feet in length, it was built to seat six and was offered in both two-door coupe and four-door sedan models.

In February 1960 at the Chicago Auto Show, a sporty two-door club coupe Corvair™ was introduced as a show car—the Corvair™ Monza. The production version appeared within months. Based on the Corvair™ 700 Deluxe series, the Monza featured bucket seats (which now made it a 5-passenger car), optional sun roof and folding rear seat. It was available in a choice of three different interior trims and came with an array of amenities—from dual horns to exterior chrome molding. In all, 11,926 models of the 1960 Corvair™ Monza would be produced.

Named Motor Trend magazine’s "Car of the Year" for 1960, the Corvair™ was a perhaps the most significant automobile of the postwar era—and the Monza was the sportiest of them all.

Now, in celebration of the 50-year anniversary since the launch of the Corvair™, this iconic engineering marvel is re-created in a precision-engineered 1:24 scale model––the 1960 Chevrolet® Corvair™ 50th Anniversary Limited Edition. Authentic in every detail...from the horizontally-opposed engine block to the fin-less rear deck and grille-less front with the button-nose ornament...this authentic re-creation is as unique as the original. Hand-painted in two-toned red and white, your model features a tri-toned interior scheme, all combining to guarantee this die-cast masterpiece a place of pride in your treasured collection.

Plymouth 1970 HEMI Cuda Mod Top Limited Edition

It was a time when horsepower ruled. Chrysler made its mark with its HEMI® engine and the undeniable leader, the Plymouth Barracuda. Combining the powerhouse engine and the Barracuda design, Chrysler reached the pinnacle of Muscle Car production, with the meanest, most powerful ‘Cuda ever.

Worldwide Limited Edition 1,000

Muscle Cars were heard revving their engines at every street light. From the late 1960s to the early 1970s, car manufacturers kept upping the ante so that each new offering boasted more power, larger engines and more pizzazz! In this competitive spirit, automobiles were designed to out-drag, out-rev and out-gas-guzzle each other.

Truly, one of the leaders of this pack was Chrysler, who made its mark among the Muscle Cars with its Hemi® engine. And among Chrysler’s Hemi®-equipped cars, the leader was undoubtedly the Plymouth Barracuda. With the combination of the Hemi® engine and the Barracuda design, Chrysler had reached the pinnacle of Muscle Car production, for it was the meanest, most powerful, fastest Barracuda ever to cruise the streets of America.

The 1970 Hemi® ’Cuda had a huge Shaker scoop that was standard on the 426 Hemis®, underneath which sat a power that had few equals. With twin Carter AFB (aluminum four-barrel) carburetors, the 426 Hemi® produced an extraordinary 425 horsepower, an engine that certainly could flex its muscle at any straight-away. Complementing this reputation for speed and enhancing the ’Cuda’s appeal was the car’s Rallye Instrument Cluster, which included a 150mph speedometer and an 8,000 rpm tachometer.

The groovy ’60s were fading away, but the fashion and “flower power” vibe were in full swing at your local Plymouth dealership. In 1970, the floral-patterned “mod top” could be ordered from the factory in place of the standard black or white vinyl tops on the Barracuda and ’Cuda lines. You could order your car with or without matching mod top interior, depending on your “groove.” Several other patterns and colors were available throughout the Chrysler model lines. However, only one HEMI®-powered ’Cuda was ever delivered from the factory with the mod top option as originally installed.

Now, this one-of-a-kind rarity is re-created in an authorized, precision-engineered replica, crafted in authentic detail by Franklin Mint Precision Models. From the fully detailed re-creation of that massive Hemi® under the hood to the “hockey stick” graphics on the fenders and Rallye Instrument Cluster, your 1970 Plymouth Hemi® ’Cuda Mod Top Limited Edition is certain to be a treasured showpiece in your die-cast collection.

2007 H-D® Heritage Softail® Classic - Limited Edition

Take the inside track to style and performance. Combining that classic hardtail look with the cushiony feel of the famous concealed rear suspension, the ’07 Heritage Softail® Classic is the perfect combination of nostalgia and modern technology. Add to the mix the prodigious power of the all-new Twin Cam 96B™ engine, and you have the ultimate touring machine. This thoroughly awesome precision collectible captures every detail—bold and subtle—of the real thing. From the precise re-creation of the awesome Twin Cam engine to an array of working features that includes operable steering and functional suspension, it’s all just waiting for you!

The Great Freedom Machine never looked better. Working features include operable steering, functional suspension and kickstand. Hand-assembled and hand-painted and polished.

For nearly a quarter-century, the Harley-Davidson® Heritage Softail® Classic has been the dominating force in the touring bike field. It’s no accident. With each year, with each new model, Harley continues to add those refinements designed to keep the Softail® on the inside track of style and performance.

Since its introduction in 1986, the Softail® has maintained the reputation for ease in handling, reliability and the smooth suspension that inspires its name. And model year 2007 is no exception. Standby essentials such as wind protection, low seat height, and roomy passenger and luggage space are still there, to be sure. But newer features abound, such as the detachable windshield and passenger seat for a more customized look. These, combined with its early dresser style, make for a nostalgic feel and look. In fact, the 2007 Softail® is the definitive study in nostalgia, presenting the classic appearance of a hardtail look combined with that cushy, concealed rear suspension.

But the big story for 2007 is the new Twin Cam 96B™ engine. The new powertrain emerges as a result of the biggest new-engine program in the history of Harley-Davidson. While maintaining the essential look and feel of the traditional Big Twin models, the new engine now displaces 96 cubic inches (1,584 cc), a 9% increase, as well as a 17% increase in torque.

Also new is the Cruise Drive™ six-speed transmission and Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), brand-new features that enhance the ease, comfort and response of the legendary Softail.®

1966 Harley-Davidson® FLH Electra Glide®

With the desires of its customers always front & center, Harley® introduced the electric-start version of its popular FL series in 1965. Now, you can own a piece of Harley-Davidson® history by parking this classic in your collection. Hand-assembled from over 125 separate parts, every detail is flawlessly captured, from each "shovelhead" cylinder head to the dual spotlights and fully instrumented control console. Hand-painted a dramatic Hi Fi Blue.

By the mid-1960s, many a "Harley-Davidson" enthusiast was clamoring for power...power...and more power. Harley-Davidson responded with the introduction of a potent new engine: one that delivered 10% more horsepower than the recently retired Panhead. Officially designated FLH, the new engine became affectionately known as the Shovelhead.

Like its predecessor, the Panhead, the descriptive nickname was inspired by the distinctive shape of the valve covers residing on top of the engine. As the power source for the Electra Glide®, the air-cooled, 74ci V-Twin produced 60hp and pampered riders with a smoother ride than the venerable Panhead. However, the fore-and-aft position of the drum brakes, a larger battery and starter produced a drag that would persist until the early 1970s, with the welcomed addition of disc brakes.

Speaking of the starter, the '66 version was basically the same 12-volt electric-start introduced the pervious year, which gave the Electra Glide® its name. Accessories included an array of "all news," running the gamut from Sportster-style carburetor, a new chrome solenoid cover, the optional, newly shaped windshield and a fuel tank console lavished with chrome trim.

For many, the Electra Glide®, gleaming in chrome as it moves effortlessly down the highway, represents the ultimate "Harley" experience--a match-made-in-heaven combination of touring bike and rebel. Your precision model captures every detail of this "Harley-Davidson" icon--from the flawlessly detailed re-creation of the legendary Shovelhead engine to the fully instrumented control console. Painted by hand in dramatic Hi-Fi Blue, it will make its presence felt in any collection.

Franklin Mint Precision Models is pleased to offer its 1:10 scale tribute to this motorcycling milestone, the 1966 Harley-Davidson® FLH Electra Glide®.

1911 Rolls-Royce Tourer - Limited Edition

Now, you can own the definitive precision model of this historic Rolls, hailed as the smoothest driving automobile of its day. Every distinctive feature of the original is preserved for all time in a model that stands up to the closest inspection. From the sumptuous coach to the perfectly detailed re-creation of the six cylinder, L-head engine.

The 1911 Rolls-Royce was a notable car for a variety of reasons. Not the least of these was the introduction of the renowned Rolls-Royce mascot—the "Spirit of Ecstasy" hood ornament. This identifiable mascot—the longest-lived mascot ever used—was created in 1911 by noted English sculptor, Charles Sykes. It is said that Lord Montagu’s secretary, a Miss Thornton, posed as a model for the winged figure, although no proof of this exists. In fact, the figure more closely resembles the artist himself. So pleased were company officials with the mascot that in 1920 they entered it into a world competition in Paris and won first prize.

The first automobile graced with the elegant Spirit of Ecstasy mascot was a 1911 Rolls-Royce. And this symbol of elegance and excellence was perfectly suited. The 1911 Rolls-Royce 40/50 hp automobile (Tourer designated the body type) was innovative in a variety of ways. One was the “Slipper Flywheel,” a device which took the form of a friction-disc clutch and flywheel mounted at the front of the crankshaft. The “Slipper Flywheel” became a standard component of Rolls-Royce motorcoaches from 1911 to the present day. Yet Rolls-Royce’s success was not based on innovation—the history of automobiles is filled with radical innovations that fell by the wayside. Instead, Rolls-Royce concentrated on details. Meticulous attention was paid to every aspect of construction: gears were cut to finer accuracy than anywhere in the world; more skilled workmen than in other factories were employed; and only the finest bodies from the finest coachbuilders were fitted onto the Rolls-Royce chassis. The result was an automobile that rode more smoothly with less trouble than any car of its time.

Now, the extraordinary 1911 Rolls-Royce Tourer is re-created in a remarkable die-cast replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. Accurate in every detail, from the sumptuous coach to the six-cylinder engine to the unmistakable “Spirit of Ecstasy” mascot on the hood, your 1911 Rolls-Royce Tourer is a handsome re-creation that captures the very spirit of this automobile which holds such a revered place in the annals of automotive history.

Lavished with chrome on the rocker panel and body belt moldings and fitted with bright gravel guards and rear-wheel fender skirts, the Bel Air® was both practically handsome and stylishly sporty. It was no wonder that Bel Air® remained the top series for 1954.

Now, the ultimate family car is re-created in a 1:24 scale precision-engineered model from Franklin Mint Precision Models - the 1954 Chevrolet® Bel Air®. Authentic in every detail - from its Onyx Black finish with contrasting white roof to the "Blue Flame" engine under the hood - your 1954 Chevrolet® Bel Air® is certain to be admired by all who see it.

Reflecting the euphoric spirit of the times, the 1954 Chevrolet® Bel Air® had robust good looks, speed and spunk - and its commodious interior was perfect for America's growing families.

The Bel Air® line had expanded from four body styles in 1953 to five in 1954, with a four-door station wagon added to the lineup. There was an array of extra features such as carpeting, full-wheel discs and an electric clock, but it was the "Blue Flame" engine under the hood that truly separated the Bel Air® from the rest of the pack. Shared by both the Bel Air® and the Corvette®, the "Blue Flame" was a powerplant that displaced 235.5 cubic inches and provided a power rating of 125 bhp at 4,000 rpms with Powerglide two-speed automatic transmission. It was the perfect power for cruising home from a business trip or merging into traffic with a car full of kids.

1958 Chrysler 300D - Limited Edition

The legendary Chrysler 300 letter series cars are the first true Muscle Cars of the modern performance era. Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to present the "D" series Chrysler 300 letter car that has it all. The dramatic sweeping rear fenders, stunning tail fins and dramatic grille all contribute to the moniker "Beautiful Brute" coined by the automotive press. Available in a Limited Edition of just 2,500 pieces worldwide, your 1958 Chrysler 300D convertible is destined to become a shelf-top classic, just like the coveted original.

Limited Edition of 2,500 worldwide

If the Chrysler 300 was a reckoning force on the track, you could not tell by its appearance, for it was a truly elegant automobile. With a broad, scowling front grille and long, sweeping tail fins, the 1957 300C was a particular favorite among automobile enthusiasts — lean and stylish. In 1958, Chrysler returned to the market with only minor changes to the already successful 300C and presented the 300D to the anxious public. Well-known mystery-adventure novelist and car collector Clive Cussler owned this exact car as part of a large collection of automobiles, which often featured prominently in his novels. For the first time ever, Chrysler offered fuel injection as an optional engine feature. Although many people did not check this option when it came time to order, the automotive press made notice of yet another advancement in the Chrysler line. Now, the 1958 Chrysler 300D Convertible "Beautiful Brute" is re-created in an authorized, precision-engineered 1:24 scale die-cast replica, crafted in authentic detail by Franklin Mint Precision Models. From the grille to the tail fins...from the powerful 392cid V-8 engine to the lush interior...your 1958 Chrysler 300D Convertible is certain to be a showpiece that you will treasure for years to come.

1957 Chevrolet® Bel Air® "Fuelie" - Limited Edition

In 1957, most Bel Airs® were equipped with factory-installed carburetors. Most, but not all. The relative few fitted with Ramjet fuel injection went on to become bona fide classics, coveted by discerning collectors to this day. This incredible precision model sports all the features that made the Fuelie a true legend of the Fabulous Fifties—from the dual gun-sight hood ornaments and fully detailed Super Turbo-Fire "283" V-8 engine to those iconic tailfins. Hand-painted in Imperial Ivory and Dusk Pearl, it's every inch a classic, just like the real car.

The year was 1957 and America was in love with the car. Main Street, USA became a place for cruising. And no car on Main Street turned more heads, or raised more eyebrows, than the 1957 Chevy® Bel Air®. Almost from the day production ceased, it's been coveted not only as a Chevy® "classic," but as one of the best examples of design and engineering in the Fabulous Fifties.

The 1957 Bel Air® made significant advances to automotive technology at the time, but the biggest auto news of all was the introduction of the Ramjet fuel injection manufactured by GM's Rochester carburetor division and developed by John Dolza, E.A. Kehoe, Donald Stoltman and legendary Corvette® chief engineer, Zora Arkus-Duntov.

The Ramjet Fuel Injection delivered several advantages: increased power, instant accelerator response, faster cold starts, smoother engine warm-ups and better overall fuel economy. In standard trim, the 283 engine delivered 220 hp but with the Super Turbo-Fire 283 V-8, a $550 option, it produced an advertised 283 horsepower with the help of this innovative injection system.

The '57 model also introduced an automatic transmission, called Turboglide. With three turbines, this new system delivered silky flow and power. And Turboglide, combined with the Bel Air's® new 14-inch wheels filled at the lower pressure of just 22 pounds, delivered a level of comfort that drivers of the day quickly came to appreciate.

Technical advances aside, what many remember about the '57 Bel Air® is the look and presence of this significant car. The front bumper with the aluminum grille screen and inset parking lamps, the dual gunsight hood ornaments and the unique rolled aluminum panels that formed the tail of a lean, horizontal spear which swept the length of the car all contributed to the dynamic design of the 1957 Chevy® Bel Air®. The Bel Air® came in a dizzying array of colors, with names like Canyon Coral, Matador Red and Sierra Gold. There were 16 colors in all, plus fifteen distinct two-tone combinations, such as this model in Imperial Ivory and Dusk Pearl. And of course, there were the fins––the feature that perhaps defined automotive design of the '50s.

You'll find each of these details faithfully captured in your 1957 Chevrolet® Bel Air® "Fuelie" Limited Edition–– the car that became a classic the day it rolled off the assembly line.

1937 Cord 812 Phaeton Convertible - Limited Edition

Legendary for its bold and distinctive styling, the Cord 812 features technical innovations such as front wheel drive, retractable headlamps and of course, the supercharged V-8 engine. When Franklin Mint Precision Models first released this model, none other than Gordon Buehrig himself (the original designer) approved the master patterns and finished production pieces. Now, this exclusive Limited Edition die-cast replica honors this historic design in a strictly limited run of just 1,500 pieces worldwide.

It has been called one of the most influential cars in automotive history. The 1937 Cord 812 immediately turned heads, combining innovation with performance that was both exciting and proficient.

The Cord 812's history begins with the idea of designing a mid-range Duesenberg that would sell between the company's relatively affordable model and the exclusive Model J. Headed by chief designer Gordon M. Buehrig, the "baby Duesenberg" design never reached production because of an economic disaster in the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg triumvirate. After a few months, however, the Cord Corporation approved the construction of a similar model and Buehrig was given the opportunity of a lifetime - overall responsibility for the design of an innovative automobile.

The innovations on Buehrig's model are legendary. To enhance the interior room, a "step-down" passenger floor was designed. Concealed headlamps, that were raised and lowered by chrome-plate handcranks under the dash, predated similar features on future sports cars. It placed the horn on the steering wheel and put the handbrake under the dash. The hubcap, with the twelve cooling holes around its perimeter, covered the entire wheel. The Cord 812 was also available with a supercharged Lycoming engine that was capable of speeds up to 110 mph.

But of all the innovations, the Cord 812's front-wheel drive format was the most remarkable. It was one of the world's first cars with front-wheel drive to be mass produced.

However, it was looks more than innovation that made the Cord 812 a great automobile - hinges were concealed to give a streamlined look; running boards were scrapped as being too "old-fashioned." The long "alligator" hood with louvered grille and the aerodynamic "pontoon-type" fenders added to the impression that this was a car ahead of its time.

Throughout the world, the Cord is regarded as a landmark in automotive design. The New York Museum of Modern Art selected the Cord as one of the eight finest examples of industrial design and automotive art, an honor that reflects the Cord's impact on automotive history.

1971 Dodge Challenger Indy 500® Pace Car - LE

Too hot to handle!

Here’s your chance to own the quintessential die-cast model of arguably the most famous pace car in Indy® history. Every detail of the original is captured to sweet perfection—from the distinctive grille and the intricately detailed re-creation of the powerful V-8 OHV engine to the bright "HEMI Orange" paint job and authentic Indy 500® emblems. Order now and see why Franklin Mint Precision Models sets the pace in engineering excellence.

Setting the pace in die-cast collectibles, this model is assembled by hand, hand-painted, hand-finished and features functioning steering, road wheels and suspension.

Nineteen-seventy-one marked the first time in 17 years that a Dodge had been selected as the pace car at the Indianapolis 500®. Overall, it was the sixth time that a Chrysler-made automobile had been so honored.

The pace car tradition at Indy® dates back to the very first running of the Memorial Day event in 1911, when a Stoddard-Dayton Model 11-A did the honors. Sometimes referred to as the safety car, the pace car, as the name implies, sets the pace for the field under the yellow, or caution, flag. In the majority of instances, whenever the pace car is on the track, competitors must hold their positions, never passing the pace car or other drivers.

Typically, the selection of an Indy® pace car is announced to the public several weeks before the race. And typically, that is where the story ends, other than the manufacturers producing a series of replicas for sale to enthusiasts. But in 1971, the Challenger made history of a different sort to become, arguably, the most renowned pace car in the Brickyard’s® history.

Your Limited Edition, 1:24 scale model of the 1971 Dodge Challenger Indy 500® Pace Car matches every detail of the original. Hand-painted a bright "HEMI Orange," this superb model sets the pace for accuracy and engineering excellence.

1965 Lambandi Mark II - Signed Limited Edition

For anyone who has ever conjured sublime automotive perfection, this model has it all. Hand-assembled from over 100 separate parts, its deeply recessed headlights, louvered hood and fully rounded expanse of the fenders capture the daring spirit of the mid-1960s. Hand-painted and hand-finished to a brilliant showroom luster, your model is fitted with a special Limited Edition plate hand-signed by Raffi Minasian. Included with purchase, the in-depth story behind the "real" car. Working features include operable steering, functional suspension and a hood that opens to reveal the mythically potent 427cid V-8 engine.

Automotive privateer Vic Lambandi began working on cars shortly after high school graduation, developing hop-up kits for the hot rod market, including the "Vic Force" intake manifold and "Vic-Fire" exhaust systems. Between 1949 and 1955, Lamba Engineering developed race engines and race cars. The most successful, the "Lamba Samba," broke four speed records at Bonneville.

In 1955, a tragic shop fire killed two of Vic's childhood friends, driver and chief mechanic Dan and Dave Baker. The assets of Lamba Engineering were a total loss, including the molds and prototype for a roadster, the Lambandi Mark I. Vic was financially and personally devastated. Slowly, Vic regained his confidence taking a job in the R&D division of Douglas Aircraft. His technical achievements in lightweight aluminum structures were significant, but the real magic was happening in Vic"s garage. On February 28, 1962 Vic tested a half scale Hypersonic Injection system, producing astonishing horsepower and fuel efficiency. Armed with newfound confidence Vic enlisted his old pals from Lamba Engineering; Dick Donnelly - chief engineer, Bill Miller - Machinist, and Ken Mann - Lawyer. They were back in business.

Hypersonic Injection was not new, but no one had been able to obtain continuous horsepower gain, due primarily to heat problems. Vic's "Hyperjection," as it would become known, could manage intense heat via helical gears. Vic called them "Gearicols." Ken Mann secured the patent for Gearicols and it remains today one of the most innovative engine systems for fuel delivery. Royalty income from Gearicol and Hyperjection systems enabled Vic to leave his job and devote full-time energy to the Lambandi Mark II.

By now, sports cars were the new craze. Vic was determined to find a suitable donor to test Hyperjection but attempts to purchase a chassis proved frustrating. Miller and Donnelly urged Vic to let them build their own frame. Finally, Donnelly took matters into his own hands and secretly began work. Miller assisted with machined parts and kept Vic distracted. Two weeks later, Vic engaged recent Art Center School graduate Tom Keller to design the body for the Mark II.

Initial tests of the Hyperjected engines proved to be challenging, but eventually a Ford 427 engine was tested with results ranging from 570 to 630 hp. Unofficially, the Mark II ran the quarter mile at 11.9 with 0-60 time of 4 seconds. Six Mark IIs were built in 1965 and 1966 - Vic's prototype, three production-based sports cars, one race-prepped roadster and one race-prepped Coupe (dubbed "The Sonic"). Donnelly still owns his red roadster and Miller sold his black roadster in 1979 to help finance his own car project. Vic raced the coupe and roadster in regional events until 1967, when Hyperjection was outlawed on the sports car circuit. Vic went on to build Mark III and IV prototypes in 1968 and 1970, but retired in 1985 and spent his remaining years devoted to his second passion, breeding Arabian horses. Vic Lambandi died in 2001 at his horse ranch in the Santa Monica mountains. His wife and two daughters maintain the ranch largely on income from renewed patents and royalties.

1932 Eliot Ness Cadillac® V-16 Phaeton

Make the ultimate crimebuster #1 on your most wanted list. Ride with Eliot Ness and his Untouchables through the streets of Chicago in the Caddy™ that toppled the underworld! Every detail is captured in true-to-life accuracy -- from the vintage Cadillac hood ornament to the exposed door hinges and running boards. Working features include doors and hood that open and close, steering and road wheels that turn, and a fully functional suspension system. This 1:24 scale re-creation of Ness' awesome 16-cylinder Cadillac is built to perfection from more than 150 separate parts.

The V-16 Cadillac® was a stylish luxury car with a reputation as one of the best driving machines of its day. What’s more, it was powerful, responsive and reliable. The massive V-16 engine featured in-line overhead valves and hydraulic valve silencers. The Cadillac® V-16 was a custom-built classic that offered the very best in comfort and security. Hydraulic shocks at all four corners helped produce a smooth ride. Its mechanical brakes stopped the car on a dime, using a complex system of rods, shafts, arms and cables. This solid Cadillac® used vacuum power to assist the brakes, move the fuel and run the windshield wipers.

Eliot Ness was a courageous man of strong ideals. He chose nine rough-and-ready agents to take on Al Capone and his criminal empire. They not only chose the right tools and firearms, but they also paid close attention to the type of vehicles they drove. They used a ten-ton flat-bed truck with a reinforced steel bumper to break down doors and haul equipment. Ness also selected a Cadillac® V-16 PhaetonTM to make his raids.

This automobile was the ultimate triumph of Cadillac’s® famous V-type principle: the power is multiplied and subdivided into a continuous flow, constantly at full-volume efficiency, flexibility and— most important to Eliot Ness—provided instant responsiveness.

Ness and his team studied the Capone syndicate, and targeted the illegal stills and breweries that were operating throughout Chicago. They planned their raids carefully. Ness used this elegant and dependable car to hound Capone and impede his bootleg operations. In his first six months on the job, Ness closed down nearly 20 distilleries worth more than $1 million. Capone reacted by trying to bribe Ness and his agents, but each time the money was thrown back in his face. Newspapers published these stories and began referring to Ness and his team as “The Untouchables.”

Similarly, the Cadillac® V-16 was “untouchable” in many ways. In fact, there was so much excitement about its debut that a crowd of over 20,000 elbowed each other just to catch a glimpse of the new “Supercar” at the New York Auto Show in January of 1930. Eliot Ness and his 1932 Cadillac® V-16 PhaetonTM — both legendary — and both classics!

Smokey and the Bandit Black Pontiac® Trans Am - LE

The Most Legendary Film Car in History.

Where would the Pontiac® Trans Am be without ’70s heartthrob Burt Reynolds and his iconic film, "Smokey and the Bandit"? This classic 1977 comedy charmed the world with its groundbreaking chase scenes, loveable “back country” cast and the adorable antics of a runaway bride...played by America’s sweetheart, Sally Field. But few cars have had more Big Screen time in history than the black Trans Am in Smokey…and no other vehicle has singlehandedly defined an entire era of cowboy Muscle Cars.

Only weeks after the movie release, the Trans Am became a national icon. Sales almost doubled in one year. In fact, during the summer "Smokey and the Bandit" was released, car sales jumped 30,000 units from 68,745 to 93,341. The following year, in 1978, sales skyrocketed even higher, putting over 100,000 Trans Ams on the road. While the car chases in the film are not the absolute technical best, the Pontiac® Trans Am stole scene after scene and was undeniably the most pervasive and appealing aspect of the film. Now a movie legend over 30 years old, the word “Trans Am” still undeniably calls to mind the awesome black Trans Am in this immortal movie, with its “screaming chicken” on the hood – and of course, the brawny star behind the wheel...Burt Reynolds.

Our 1977 Pontiac® Trans Am is a precision-engineered scale model of the Smokey and the Bandit Black Trans Am. This movie-legend model is assembled entirely by hand and features operable steering, functional hood, trunk and doors — with the famous “screaming chicken” hood design. Now a movie legend over 30 years old, the name "Trans Am" is still synonymous with Smokey and The Bandit.

1939 Duesenberg Coupe Simone Midnight Ghost - LE

Issued on the 10th anniversary of the car that never was, this incredible die-cast model is the creation of acclaimed designer Raffi Minasian. Inspired by the modernist lines of the Art Deco movement, it captures all the romance of a bygone era. The graceful sweep of the fenders, the luxuriously appointed interior complete with a crystal-clear steering wheel - every detail of the designer's vision brought unforgettably to life. Hand-painted an elegant Midnight Ghost, this special anniversary Limited Edition bears the designer's signature on a plaque mounted to the undercarriage.

The Coupe Simone – A Brief History

The story of the Duesenberg Coupe Simone and Emmett-Armand Coachworks was first revealed in 1996 at The Franklin Mint Museum exhibit, "Crossroads." Chronicled by Designers Roger Hardnock and Raffi Minasian, this unique presentation revealed the recently discovered remnants of the coachworks, a diary of the events leading up to the delivery of the Simone in Paris, and drawings of this unusual car under development.

In 1998, Franklin Mint Precision Models released the first and only 1:24 scale die-cast replica of the Coupe Simone. Collectors throughout the precision model community have welcomed this innovative and dynamic model as an integral part of their collections, sharing the story and unique history of this imaginative vehicle.

In celebration of the ten-year anniversary of the release of the Duesenberg Coupe Simone, Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to present the Duesenberg Coupe Simone "Midnight Ghost" 10th Anniversary Signature Edition.

History of the Commemorative Paint Scheme – The "Midnight Ghost"

Emmett-Armand Coachworks had been working on the Coupe Simone for more than a year when plans began to develop for new projects. In 1938, with the growing interest in special-bodied cars, Emmett became immersed in the business and promotion of the coachworks throughout the Eastern States. At home, Armand focused on the details of the coachworks while Emmett traveled as far West as Chicago, engaging new clients through many of his extended family contacts.

As the car was prepared for the initial showing to Gui LaRouche, Armand was notified that the chassis was being shipped, and within two weeks they could expect delivery. Upon arrival, Emmett and Armand were shocked to find the chassis equipped with a fully prepped, supercharged engine. Seeing this opportunity, Armand convinced Emmett to present the car to LaRouche in "sporting trim." The two worked several nights preparing the car in a daring black paint scheme, with blackwall tires and highly polished supercharger.

LaRouche, a wealthy cosmetics king and patron for the project, arrived at the coachworks late in the evening. Had the train been on time, LaRouche might have arrived earlier and appreciated the subtlety of the metallic black and silver trim as it glowed in the early sunset light. Instead, he was not pleased with the "rather evil appearance," calling upon Emmett and Armand to "please research a color combination more becoming to that of his refined tastes." Emmett, attempting to divert LaRouche's discontent, invited him to take the car for a drive. An excerpt from Armand's diary recalls the results:

"Although the two had only left a few minutes before, their early return was punctuated by the fact that Emmett was driving. LaRouche exited the car visibly shaken as Emmett came around to steady him, stumbling with his walking cane. We offered LaRouche (more accustomed to chauffeurs) some calming tea as he confessed that he had only driven a few times in cars featuring no more than 20 or 30 horsepower. His ghostly white face and trembling hands convinced us that the supercharged version of this car would be nothing more than a waste and certainly a hazard to our client. Emmett and I removed the sup

1956 Chevrolet® Cameo™ Pickup Truck - Limited Edition

Now, the historic 1956 Chevrolet® Cameo™ pickup truck is re-created in a fully authorized, precision-engineered 1:24 scale replica, crafted in authentic detail by Franklin Mint Precision Models. This premiere edition model is painted in a stunning Omaha Orange with Ivory trim. With just 1,500 pieces available worldwide, these models are sure to sell quickly. So act now to ensure one will have a place in your home!

Task Force Trucks. That’s how the second series of trucks from Chevrolet were introduced when they were introduced on March 25, 1955. Among the new offerings in the series was the sporty Cameo™ Pickup— a vehicle with truck toughness and passenger car amenities and one which would be integral in introducing the classic pickup truck to an ever-increasing American suburbia.

In general, the new series of 1955 trucks offered a sturdy-looking design: square lines and rounded corners. All cab models had a wrap-around panoramic windshield and each model was enhanced with new 12-volt electrical systems, tubeless tires and V-8 engines. It was the Cameo™ Pickup, however, that took the sturdy 1955 truck design and incorporated the styling of automobiles to create a styling trend that continues today.

Chevrolet engineers had dubbed the new vehicle “the suburbanite pickup,” yet to the public it was popularly called the Cameo™. It was a half-ton, high-stylized pickup in the Chevrolet 3100 series and was given fiberglass “skins” over the cargo box to give the rear sections a contemporary look. The Cameo™ initially came only in Bombay Ivory with Commercial Red trim, featured lots of chrome and had red interior trim. But in 1956, the Cameo™ model was offered in eight two-tone combinations. It still had hooded headlights, forward-slanting pillars on the wrap-around windshield, vertical taillights and a cleverly concealed spare tire that was accessed by pulling down the license-plate panel. Other changes in the 1956 model year were the position of side chrome extensions, and V-8-equipped trucks had a chromed V incorporated into the bow-tie emblem.

Perhaps more important than its popularity was the crucial role that Cameo™ played in the development of pickup truck design. For its smooth-sided box and integrated fenders created a look that influenced engineers and designers for years to come—a look that today is a favorite among knowledgeable collectors and automobile enthusiasts everywhere.

Now, the historic 1956 Chevrolet® Cameo™ Pickup Truck is re-created in an authorized, precision- engineered 1:24 scale replica, crafted in authentic detail by Franklin Mint Precision Models. From the panoramic windshield to the concealed spare tire…from the wooden cargo bed to the powerful V-8 engine...your precision die-cast model is crafted in meticulous and authentic detail. Steeped in the history of American automotive design, the 1956 Chevrolet® Cameo™ Pickup Truck Limited Edition is certain to be a showpiece you will treasure for years to come.

The First Panhead - 1948 Harley-Davidson® FL´

It rocked the world in 1948. Now it will rock yours.

The first Panhead. The machine that established Harley-Davidson as the premier post-war motorcycle manufacturer. Recaptured in phenomenal detail. From the "wishbone" tubular frame, to the rear fender mounted saddlebags. As well as the chrome-plated rocker covers that resembled upside-down cake pans, from which the nickname Panhead was inspired. Complete with a seat upholstered in real leather. And loaded with authentic operating features that include operable springer-front suspension, and kickstand, tank shifter and brake pedal that actually pivots. Hand-painted in authentic Harley-Davidson® colors.

Presented by Franklin Mint Precision Models in association with Harley-Davidson® on the 50th Anniversary of this classic Harley-Davidson®, this definitive die-cast re-creation of the legendary Panhead is assembled by hand from more than 150 separate parts.

The first motorcycle engine with hydraulic lifters, the Panhead engine replaced the legendary Knucklehead engine in 1948. Before the Panhead, all OHV motorcycle engines had mechanically-actuated valves. The new hydraulic lifters were designed to compensate for expansion, due to engine heating and for inevitable valve-train wear while effectively eliminating lash and noise.

In 1948, there was a variety of Panhead models to choose from. Three versions were offered for each displacement size. The 48FL bike had a 74 cubic inch solo twin engine with 7:1 compression. The bikes came with a standard four-speed engine, although a three-speed and a three-speed with reverse were available options at no additional cost.

Aside from the hydraulic lifters, the Panhead also offered new cylinder heads, which were completely redesigned from the previous models. Harley-Davidson had seen the advantage of aluminum construction, correctly believing that aluminum would be cheap and plentiful following the war, and because aluminum heads shed heat faster than iron.

The new motorcycles for 1948 were available in four different colors: Azure Blue, Flight Red, Brilliant Black and, for the Police Group only, Police Silver. Paint was applied only after parts were first treated with a bonding agent (“Bonderizing”) that also acted as a protection against corrosion.

Now, the historic first Panhead, the 1948 Harley-Davidson® FL, is re-created in a precision-engineered replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. The First Panhead: 1948 FL is crafted in authentic detail and truly captures the excitement of this magnificent motorcycle. It is certain to be admired by all who see it.

1965 Harley-Davidson® Electra Glide® w/Sidecar

A legend as soon as it hit the road, the world-premiere Electra Glide® was powered by the last of the Panhead engines. It was also the first Harley® with a 12-volt electric starter system, making full-body stomps on the kick-start lever a thing of the past. Now, the smooth ride continues with this awesome precision re-creation, featuring every detail of the ultimate touring bike, right down to the precise re-creation of that powerful OHV Panhead engine, and gauge and instrument cluster on the fuel tank. Complete with sidecar equipped with spare. Scale-sized helmet included.

The 1965 Harley-Davidson® E-Glide® was a historic milestone for Harley and would mark the end of an era. With the Japanese invasion of motorcycles, Harley had to do something to hold its market share against the innovation and ease of riding that manufacturers like Honda and Yamaha would bring to the table. They realized that they had to make riding easier, more user friendly –– and the E-Glide® was born.

Easier it was…decades of kick starts had come to an end. The E-Glide®, or Electra Glide®, introduced an all-new 12 volt electric starter system. Exhausting and shin-braking full-body stomps on the kick start lever would now be replaced by the push of the thumb. The E-Glide® also replaced the manual spark advance with an automatic one. The electric start dictated other changes to the E-Glide® platform, like deleting the tool box to allow for the larger 12 volt battery. Although the internal engine was the same, a stronger casing and clutch were also needed for the new starter system.

This would be the last year for the panhead engine, which had powered the big bikes since 1949. The last panhead and first electric start would insure solid collector status for this ride. Franklin Mint Precision Models is pleased to offer its 1:10 scale tribute to this motorcycling milestone with sidecar.

1967 Chevrolet® Camaro® Z/28® RS® Hardtop

In 1967, the first Camaro® was born. This landmark year also introduced the first Camaro® powered with the famed Z/28® engine option which launched Camaro® to numerous first-place SCCA victories, even winning its first Trans Am appearance at Marlboro.

We have captured the essence of this Muscle Car monument with our first 1967 Chevrolet® Camaro® Z/28® RS® hardtop die-cast replica. Every significant detail has been faithfully reproduced, from the unmistakable pony-style body lines right down to the working headlight doors and 800 cfm Holley Carburetor.

In the mid-1960s, Ford and Chrysler "pony"-style cars were dominating the performance car market and the SCCA Trans-Am racing circuit. Additionally, cars like the Mustang and Barracuda were capturing the attention of both weekend racers and hot-rodders alike. GM needed something with a light curb weight and enough horsepower to grab its share of the "pony car" market and compete in the Trans-Am racing circuit. They answered with the 1967 Camaro®. The birth of the Camaro® was a landmark in Muscle Car history. From its low, aggressive profile to the high-performance engine options, this pony would ride straight into the hearts of sports car fans for decades to come.

Vince Piggins, Chevrolet’s® Product Promotion Manager, convinced GM to combine parts from the 283 cubic inch engine with the 327 small block and a solid lifter cam with a 4-inch bore, creating a 302.3 displacement engine just under the 305 cubic inch SCCA race requirement....and the Z28® option was born.

The engine was rated 290hp. Many claimed the rating misleading, placing actual hp closer to 400! To this day, the discrepancy remains a point of contention. But one thing is certain...the Z28® packed enough punch to consume the quarter-mile in less than 15 seconds. The Z28® won its first Trans-Am race at Marlboro, Maryland, getting the checkered flag ahead of Mustang, 'Cuda and Javelin, and continued to be a winner for years to come.

Now, this automotive icon of the Sixties is yours in a 1:24 scale model as awesome as the original. From the impressive power plant under the hood to the classic striped detailing and Bolero Red paint scheme, your 1967 Chevrolet® Camaro Z/28® RS® is a precision-engineered classic that will be admired for many years to come.

An example of this philosophy is the Harley-Davidson® FLHRCI™ Road King® Classic. The ultimate cruiser, the Road King® emulates the style of its predecessors and sets the standard for its heirs. The cruiser is powered by the huge Twin Cam 88™ engine, which rides in elastomer isolation mounts that eliminate vibrations. Before Harley-Davidson introduced the Twin Cam 88™ to the public, it tested the engine on over two-and-a-half million miles of road. And the judgment was that the Twin Cam 88™ offered a quieter, smoother ride while providing high performance and maneuverability. This comfort is further enhanced by an anti-dive fork and air-adjustable suspension.

Yet it is not only the new engine that separates the Road King® Classic from other cruisers. The all-out style of the Road King® is truly "Classic." Gorgeous saddlebags are made by stretching durable plastic over hard-shell compartments, enhancing both accessibility and durability. The tooled design of the saddlebag is repeated on the custom seat. Enhancing the stylish black-and-chrome color scheme of the engine is a range of eight available finishes, including four two-tone finishes. A custom 3D metal emblem was also designed especially for the Road King® Classic and appears on the fender tip, tank and seat valance. The laced wheels add to the overall style.

With dual exhausts, a wheelbase of 63.5 inches and overall length of 93.7 inches, commodious saddlebags and unparalleled power and comfort, the Road King® Classic truly defines the modern touring bike, offering bikers a ride they'll never forget.

Now, in honor of the future of touring motorcycles, comes a precision-engineered replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. 1958 Ford Edsel Citation - Limited Edition

It may be remembered as Ford's $25 million fiasco, but today nearly everyone wishes they owned a '58 Edsel. Now, you can - in the form of a precision-engineered re-creation of one of the most famous icons of the Fifties! Assembled by hand from over 100 separate parts, it captures every distinctive detail - from the famous horse-collar grille and elongated taillights, to the pushbutton gear selector mounted to the steering wheel hub. Working features include operable steering, functional suspension, and a hood that lifts to reveal the fully detailed 410 cid V-8 engine. Own a piece of automotive history.

Today, the Edsel has attained cult status in the annals of American automotive history, and before it had appeared, the 1958 Edsel was perhaps the most eagerly anticipated car in the 1950s. Indeed, the Edsel was the first new nameplate that the Ford Motor Company had introduced in the twenty years since the 1938 Mercury debuted. But it was produced only until 1960, with sales dropping an incredible 89% in that brief time.

The Edsel's design was certainly unique. The vertical front grille and gullwing taillights were unlike anything then on the road. The gear selector was also unusual - a push button box placed into the hub of the steering wheel. The idea behind this design and the entire instrument assembly was to give the driver easy access to the controls.

In addition to the unusual styling, the Edsel was introduced at a time when American auto sales were faltering. In 1954, when the car was first conceived, Americans were buying automobiles in record numbers. But by 1958, a recession had set in and sales, particularly of mid-priced cars like the Edsel, dropped considerably. At a time when established makes were struggling, the chances for success of a new car relatively untested by the public were slim.

Those who did take a chance with the Edsel could choose four models: the Corsair and the Citation, which had a 345-horsepower V8 engine and shared body parts with the Mercury, and the Ranger and the Pacer which had a 303-horsepower V8 engine and shared body parts with the Ford.

Today, the Edsel is coveted by collectors, restored and entered in auto shows around the country, and greatly valued - no doubt for its infamous role in American automotive history. Now, the 1958 Edsel Citation has been re-created by the craftsmen at Franklin Mint Precision Models in a 1:24 scale precision-engineered model. Authentically researched and meticulously crafted, the 1958 Edsel Citation captures every detail of the original, from the unusual front grille to the 410 cubic inch V8 engine.

1933 Duesenberg Twenty Grand

Own a classic from the Golden Age of Automobiles. Wow, What a Duesy!

The most luxurious Duesenberg ever, the world knew it as the 20 Grand. For in 1933, it had the bold price tag of $20,000—far beyond the reach of the millions who first saw it at the Chicago World’s Fair. Today, its value would be in the millions. Now, the most elegant Duesy ever can be yours—in the form of this sensational die-cast replica.

Handcrafted with 148 separate parts, it’s authentic to the smallest detail—from the famed Duesy hood ornament to the genuine instrument panels with full array of switches, gauges and levers. Painted a posh champagne silver, it’s a certified classic, just like the original.

The year is 1933. In Chicago, crowds gather at the Century of Progress Exposition, a World's Fair unlike any other. There, the future is presented to a nation weary of its depression and finding relief in the presentation of better times to come. As visitors flock to the Travel and Transportation Building, they are mesmerized by the stunning 1933 Duesenberg SJ. This motor car is not only the most luxurious Duesenberg ever built, it is also the most expensive. And its price would also become the motor car's namesake—the Duesenberg "Twenty Grand".

Built expressly for the World’s Fair in Chicago, the "Twenty Grand" would steal the show as millions shared in the aura of grandeur and wealth that surrounded such a car. Even the colour, described as metallic platinum, suggested the sterling quality of such a machine, and perhaps indirectly, pointed toward a silver lining on the black cloud of the Depression.

Chief designer, Gordon Buehrig, designed the "Twenty Grand:, adapting several of the earlier coach styles, and the noted coach-builder Rollston Body Company, made the design a reality. With polished stainless steel tubing covering the exposed exhaust pipes, and an aerodynamically slanted windscreen, the luxurious "Twenty Grand" exuded a feeling of speed, as well as grandeur. Its long and sleek lines, uninterrupted by superfluous extravagance, elegantly belied the power that lay under the bonnet—a 320-horsepower supercharged engine that was claimed to have pushed the machine to speeds as high as 130 miles per hour.

The power and elegance that were revealed by the exterior were complemented by the sumptuousness of the interior. The "armchair" type seats were upholstered in broadcloth bounded with silver patent leather. Instrument panels, in the front and back seats, were panelled in two-tone burl walnut with silver inlay.

Only one was ever built. And perhaps a car as unparalleled as the 1933 Duesenberg SJ "Twenty Grand" should be alone in its class. Today it is part of the Merle Norman Beauty Collection in the San Sylmar Museum where it is on exhibition.

The Duesenberg name connoted quality and style. The 1933 Duesenberg SJ connoted more than that—it was a machine of dreams, of fantasies, of "Twenty Grand".

John Wayne Stagecoach

He took on the basic characteristics and the pure essence of the frontier spirit. John Wayne was a movie star who chose roles that people could identify with - characters who were plain-spoken, honest and tough. He introduced us to simple men who relied on a basic code of conduct for existing in a dangerous world. He showed us how to face crises, and he let us share his confidence in dealing with adversity. There was nothing false about the parts John Wayne played, because the essential qualities of the Old West were etched into his soul.

That’s why it’s easy to picture “The Duke” sitting ten feet above the ground, riding shotgun on the driver’s bench of a rough-and-ready stagecoach. Constructed of wood, iron, leather, and canvas, the overland stagecoach left its mark on the western frontier during the 19th century. These delivery vehicles rattled and swayed over rutted roads and through badlands, carrying cargoes that included company payrolls, bags of mail, and stalwart passengers willing to face danger and take a risk.

Now, this legendary overland stagecoach is magnificently re-created in an extraordinary precision-engineered replica by Franklin Mint Precision Models. The John Wayne Stagecoach is filled with authentic details, graphics, and design that are sure to delight fans of the Old West. This faithfully crafted replica pays tribute to the era of overland stagecoaching, and honors the memory of John Wayne. This great model comes complete with a terrific package of frontier accessories - an assortment of luggage, a strongbox, shotguns, and a repeating rifle like the one “The Duke” often carried in his films. This stagecoach is alive with memories.

1942 Harley-Davidson® WLA Military Motorcycle

Honor the military motorcycle that roared through war-torn Europe.

Harley-Davidson® joined the war effort and rolled over Europe with the powerful WLA motorcycle. Fast and durable, this solid motorcycle carried Allied soldiers on countless campaigns. Now, the legend returns in a precision-engineered model so exact you can almost hear the roar of its V-Twin® engine. Assembled by hand from more than 150 parts and packed with details like protective leg shields, foot boards, saddlebags and solo windshield. Hand-painted in olive drab with authentic military markings. A complete array of true-to-life operating features such as brake and shift pedals, operable steering and functional front suspension. Complete with scale-sized submachine gun with removable ammo clip, holster, ammo box, and cap and goggles. A fitting tribute to a valiant warrior!

The most reliable motorcycle of World War II captured in a spectacular replica, officially authorized by Harley-Davidson®. Assembled and painted entirely by hand this model has been re-created as a precision die-cast model in 1:10 scale and is loaded with operating features and equipped with scale-sized military gear. Honor the military motorcycle that roared through war-torn Europe.

Even before the United States entered World War II, Harley-Davidson® was building motorcycles to be used by the Allies in the war effort, particularly after Germany had crippled the British motorcycle industry. However, almost immediately after the attack on Pearl Harbor and the U.S. subsequent entry into the war, Harley-Davidson® was dedicated to the war effort, producing motorcycles for scouting and dispatch for both the U.S. and Allied forces.

During this time, Harley-Davidson® developed its WLA military motorcycles (the "A" stands for Army) and by the end of the war, more than 90,000 WLAs had been produced and shipped. In addition, the company produced enough spare parts to build an additional 30,000 motorcycles. Production of the WLA, along with other military orders, kept the Harley-Davidson® factory busy day and night and ultimately earned the company the Army-Navy "E" Award for excellence in wartime production.

The WLA Military Motorcycle featured a 45 cubic inch V-twin engine that was based on the Harley-Davidson® 45 cubic inch flathead engine. (There was another unique, horizontally opposed, twin 45 cubic inch engine developed, the XA, to be used in desert warfare, but only 1,000 models were produced when that aspect of the war was ended.) The WLA, however, was stronger than the civilian model - and certainly as equally reliable. And it had to be, for the WLA saw service from Normandy to China. And in one of the most memorable moments of our time, it was the WLAs that were first on the scene at the end of the war when Germany surrendered and the POWs were liberated. Indeed, the Harley-Davidson® WLA Military Motorcycle was truly one of the technological heroes of World War II.

Now, the historic military motorcycle is re-created in an exciting die-cast replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. Crafted in authentic detail - from the V-twin 45 cid engine, solo windshield and leg shields to scale-size military gear, including a submachine gun, ammo clip, cap and goggles - the 1942 Harley-Davidson® WLA Military Motorcycle is a fitting tribute to all those - abroad and at home - who did so much for the cause of freedom. It is a die-cast re-creation that you are certain to treasure for many years to come.

2007 H-D® Road King® Police Unity Tour - LE

Honor the heroes of law enforcement

This very special precision re-creation of the Harley-Davidson® Road King® honors the Police Unity Tour, the annual event that raises funds for the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial. One look at this sensational model and you'll appreciate why the real machine is the real deal for police departments across the country. Precision engineered in preferred 1:10 scale, this must-have re-creation is packed with true-to-life working features that include operable handlebars, working kickstand, gear pedals, and functional suspension. Enhanced by special graphics, it's a powerful tribute to those police officers who have made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty.

The Police Unity Tour was founded in 1997 by a group of 18 New Jersey law enforcement officers who boldly rode their bicycles from Florham Park New Jersey to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial in Washington D.C. to pay tribute to their fallen Colleagues. The riders sought to raise awareness and funds for the Memorial, while honoring law enforcement officers who died in the line of duty. Today, the spectacle of over 1000 peace officers on bicycles accompanied by Harley-Davidson® motorcycle police escorts arriving en masse in D.C. brings tears to the eyes of the many family and friends of the fallen who gather to witness this event.

The mission of the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund (NLEOMF) is to permanently record and appropriately commemorate the service and sacrifice of law enforcement officers. The Fund also provides information that helps promote law enforcement safety.

The NLEOMF maintains the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial, which contains the names of approximately 18,000 law enforcement officers who have died in the line of duty, dating back to the first recorded death in 1792. The Memorial is visited by more than 300,000 people annually. The three-acre site is located in historic Judiciary Square in Washington, D.C.

More recently, the NLEOMF is leading the effort to build the first-ever National Law Enforcement Museum, a living tribute to America's peace officers. The Museum, which will be located next to the Memorial, is scheduled to open in 2011.

And over the years, it's no wonder that many fire departments put their trust in Harley-Davidson® motorcycles and servi-cars to be first on the scene!

From the precise re-creation of the flathead V-Twin engine to the full complement of working features that includes functional suspension, kickstand and handlebars. Scale size accessories such as first aid kit and chief's helmet make for a powerful tribute to firefighters everywhere.

The original Harley-Davidson® Servi-Car made its appearance in the early 1930s. The three-wheeled utility vehicle was originally designed to be towed behind a newly purchased automobile. Once the car was delivered, the Servi-Car would be released and the dealer rep would ride the vehicle back to the showroom. Soon, the Servi-Car was put to additional uses that included the delivery of parts and roadside assistance for disabled cars and trucks. Harley® advertising of the era even touted the three-wheeler as perfect for small deliveries by druggist, merchant and delivery services.

It was not long, however, before law enforcement and fire departments across the nation realized the advantages of the motorized three-wheeler. When responding to a call, the fire chief's vehicle of choice was the powerful and reliable Servi-Car, which provided him access to places denied larger vehicles.

As a firefighting vehicle, the Servi-Car provides valuable lifesaving duties by speeding first aid supplies to hard-to-access places and by affording a firefighter the means to assess the severity of a given situation.

Packed with authentic detail, your precision model of the 1947 Harley-Davidson® Fire Chief Servi-Car features an exact re-creation of Harley®'s 45-cubic-inch flathead V-Twin engine. It is equipped with an array of scale-size accessories you'd expect to find on an actual vehicle––an axe, first aid kit and fire chief's hat.

1933 Duesenburg J Victoria Limited Edition

A bold statement of luxury and grand touring, this custom-bodied Duesenberg was the hit of the Paris Salon when it first appeared in 1932. Often the car of choice among the Hollywood elite, Duesenbergs represented the finest in American cars. Trimmed with high-contrasting ivory interior against royal metallic luster red paint, this stunning Duesenberg is the pinnacle of automotive art and fashion.

As with all great cars, there are always great stories. For Duesenberg, there are not only great stories but personalities associated with one of the finest automobiles of the 20th century. These stories remind us of the magnificence of the designers, builders and patrons of these fine cars.

In 1932, all of France was stunned as the special-bodied Fernandez and Darrin Duesenberg appeared at the Paris Salon. Fernandez had been a well-known coachbuilder with European designs to his credit, and Howard "Dutch" Darrin had made significant inroads in both U.S. and European markets with his firm, Hibbard and Darrin. In 1931, Darrin dissolved his partnership with Hibbard and began working with Fernandez. One of their first major European contributions to the world of coachbuilt automobiles was built on a stunning, long-wheelbase 1932 Duesenberg Model J chassis.

Resplendent in metallic red with contrasting ivory interior trim and featuring an elegant three-position landau roof, this Duesenberg would later be made in two (perhaps three) otherconfigurations from 1932 through 1933. At some point in the history of these rare cars, a two-toned blue and black car became attributed to movie star Greta Garbo. Although she persisted in denying this, the legend of the Garbo Duesenberg continued as part of the mystique of this illusive actress. Some speculated that her denial of the car was due in part to not wanting to be recognized as she was driven in it. The Garbo mystery could very well be due in part to her friendship with French film star Suzy Vernon, who owned and was pictured many times with the blue and black Model J Duesenberg known as the "Garbo." Some speculate that this is how the legend began.

Today, both cars are regarded as some of the finest coachbuilt cars ever built upon a Duesenberg chassis. The original Paris Salon car has been fully restored to original condition and is currently in a private collection. The Franklin Mint is proud to present the original Paris Salon 1933 Duesenberg Model J Victoria with coachwork by Fernandez and Darrin just as it appeared in 1932 in its original paint and trim scheme.

1886 Benz Patent Motorwagen

Own the World’s First Automobile. This is the car that started it all! Designed by Karl Benz, it was the first motor vehicle ever successfully powered by internal combustion. The car that began the legend of Mercedes-Benz. And now you can own the first 1:8 scale precision die-cast model of The World's First Automobile.

Handcrafted from over 100 parts, and authenticated by the Mercedes-Benz Museum, this richly detailed model features critical mechanical components that actually function. The flywheel, piston, drive belt, pulley and hand brake move. The wheels and crankshaft turn. The ignition contacts open and close.

There's rack-and-pinion steering and a huge gyroscopic flywheel. The expansion tank is copper-tinted and coated in gold. The carburetor, fuel tank and fittings are also coated with gold. Specially imported.

In July 3rd, 1886 an event occurred that certainly had an enormous impact on the history of man. For it was on that date that the first useable car in the world - Karl Benz’s Patent Motorcar - was given its first public outing. No one could really know at the time that the simple carriage, achieving speeds of 12 kph, was a beginning of a new era in human history - the automobile age.

Benz’s first car had a four-stroke single-cylinder engine which displaced 990ccs. The engine was mounted horizontally on the vehicle which in many ways was a unique blend of a horse carriage and a three-wheeled bicycle. Producing 0.9 horsepower, the engine drove wire spoked wheels through Benz's innovative array of differential gears, belts and chains.

Benz’s automobile included innovations that are still used today on over 400 million automobiles. It had electric ignition, a water-cooled engine and a quite modern differential gear. The custom-made body included a two passenger seat and rack-and pinion steering operated by a "tiller." The automobile had no foot brakes and was stopped by a handbrake applied to the drive mechanism. With an advanced differential drive train, no reverse gear, and a belt clutch, the vehicle was able to reach a maximum speed of 16 to 18 kph.

When Benz’s "horseless carriage" appeared at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, it ignited the imagination of the public, and triggered the beginning of the automobile industry. The Benz Patent Motorcar was more than just another invention in the pantheon of man's technology. It was the one invention that opened up the world - that brought everyone and everything just a little bit closer.

1896 Ford Quadricycle

Henry Ford's first car

In 1896 Henry Ford was chief engineer of the Edison Illuminating Co. when he built a car called the Quadricycle. This spectacular die-cast model is based directly on Ford's one and only original--and lets you see the actual working mechanism of one of the world’s most historic automobiles. Precision-engineered with operable tiller steering, wheels that turn, pulley, gears and leather belts that move in unison. The buggy-style seat is upholstered in suede leather to replicate the original cloth. Selected components are accented in brass, copper and gold electroplate. Hand-assembled from more than 100 separate components in 1:6 scale.

When he was sixteen years old, Henry Ford left his parents' farm in Springwells-Dearborn and traveled the few miles to Detroit. His Father, while not encouraging the young boy's mechanical curiosity, nevertheless allowed him to develop it, believing that it was perhaps just a passing fancy. Ford worked shortly for the Michigan Car Company (where he performed certain repairs in 10% of the time that the regular employees took), the James Flower and Brothers Machine Shop (while at the same time supplementing his income repairing watches at McGill Jewelry), and at the Detroit Drydock Company, the largest shipbuilding firm in the city.

Ford then began to work for Westinghouse Engine Company, setting up and repairing steam traction engines used by the farmers. He attended a business college in Detroit and worked as an engine repairman at the Eagle Iron Works. Ford's father gave Henry a heavily timbered tract of land with the hope that his son--who was soon to marry Clara Jane Bryant--would settle down to farming. While Henry Ford made a good attempt at timbering, the lure of mechanics was too strong and he spent much of his time in the workshop he had built.

In 1891, Henry Ford announced to his wife that he was convinced that an engine-powered road vehicle was possible and that they were moving to Detroit so that Ford could get the electrical experience he knew was necessary. On Christmas Eve 1893, Henry (and Clara) tested his first gasoline engine at the couple's kitchen sink. By June of 1896, Ford had completed his first car, the Quadricycle, and on June 4th, 1896, he took a pre-dawn trip around the Edison Illuminating Company's plant. The car had a two-cylinder engine that displaced 59 cubic inches; it was extremely light (weighing 500 pounds without fuel); and was framed with four two-by-two rails. It had bicycle wheels and a bicycle seat (soon to be replaced by a buggy seat), tiller steering and differential gears mounted outside the frame.

The historic import of this first journey is immeasurable. For while Ford was not the inventor of the automobile, he was the impetus to the automobile age, refining mass-production so that automobiles would become a standard commodity for the common man.

1966 Shelby Cobra 427 S/C® in Aluminum

A sensational collectible depicting the last of the street Cobras®!

Carroll Shelby™ pushed American racing to the limits back in the '50s and '60s, and created what many consider the greatest contribution to the world of speed: The Cobra®, a trail-blazing combination of ultra-lightweight aluminum and flashy Euro styling with a brawny American V-8 engine. Give yourself the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for speed with a spectacular 1:24 scale, precision model of the "street legal" version of the Cobra® -- the 427 S/C™. It's crafted in unpainted aluminum, just like Shelby's® own. And you'll find true-to-life details, like doors, hood and trunk that open and close. Steering wheel that turns the front wheels. Authentic materials used in the seats, like real leather upholstery. A highly detailed engine -- accurate down to the spark plug wires. Even the tread on the tires perfectly matches the original!

Generally, you have to choose between joy and power. But when Carroll Shelby introduced the world to the Cobra 427 S/C lightweight roadster in the early 1960's, power and joy turned out to be two sides of the same coin. For the true roadster aficionado, nothing has ever been built to compare to the Cobra. Even to this day, the Shelby® Cobra stands out. This limited production sports car deserves its designation as an automotive classic because it demands your full attention. It looks great; it sounds mean; and it drives like a demon. In fact, it may well be the most powerful, the most attractive, and the most thrilling front-engine roadster ever manufactured for sale to the public.

The Shelby® Cobra was born in a flash of insight, became cloaked in clouds of controversy, and remains enshrouded in layers of mystery. To understand the Cobra mystique, you must first start with its creator.

Carroll Shelby was a Texan who flew planes, raced cars, and brokered some great automotive ideas. Cobra production began in 1962 and ended in 1967. At first, this thinly disguised road racer featured a 260 V-8 engine (soon expanded to a 289 V-8) inside its sleek European-style body. Shelby® produced 630 of this model. Then, in 1965, this beautiful beast got even more power when the 427 cid V-8 racing engine was added. At some point in production, the 427 was replaced with the 428 Police Interceptor engine: 348 were 427’s and 26 of these were designated S/C for street competition. The S/C was the ultimate Cobra.

As awesome as the original created by Carroll Shelby™!

•Elite precision model collectible captured in 1:24 scale

•Powerful display piece in unpainted aluminum, just like the original

•Hand-assembled from more than 150 separate components

•Authentic detail and working features

•Real leather upholstery

2005 Ford Mustang GT

The Mustang legend lives! Harness the power of this all-new performance-built thoroughbred with a sizzling scale replica of the first mainstream Mustang to break into the 300 hp arena. Exact in every detail, right down to the legendary badge and tri-bar tail lamps. The legacy of Mustang continues. Marvel at the precisely detailed engine and fully loaded interior.

Ford Motor Company had ambitious plans for the 2005 model year. This year the company launched its broadest lineup of new cars in decades and perhaps even more significantly, its new Mustang. Americans had been in love with the Mustang for 41 years now and the retro version Mustang was eagerly awaited. Although almost all new, the styling was a reprise of the original short deck-long hood combination that started the Pony Car craze of the mid 'sixties. Here was the bodyside scoop, from the '65, the dashboard reminiscent of the 1967, the greenhouse shape from the 1968, and the nose from 1969. In short, the objective was to "...bring back everything that was right about the best Mustangs..." as stated by J Mays, Ford's Group Vice President of Design.

The rear-quarter glass was a retro cue that also satisfied a modern functional necessity. The original single side window of the 1967-68 fastbacks looked snazzy but created a long, solid sail panel that shut out light to the rear seat and blocked driver vision. The triangular windows on the 2005 solved those problems while recalling the design of the iconic '66 Shelby® GT 350. Underneath, the new Mustang had its own platform, for the first time not sharing one with an existing Ford product.

The new S197, a purpose-built muscle car chassis, was new from the ground up. 2005 also introduced a redesigned suspension, revised power train, state of the art ergonomics and modern safety features. Now it can truly be said that the legacy of the Mustang will continue into the next century. Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to present the 2005 Ford Mustang GT, an authentic, fully detailed die-cast model.

1966 Shelby Cobra 427® Supersnake® - LE

Carroll Shelby's Ultimate Muscle Car - Yours in a Special Limited Edition

Only one Supersnake® remains in existence, and in 2007 it was auctioned off at a dizzying $5.5 million! Now, the rarest of the rare can be yours for much, much less - in a precision-engineered classic as awesome as the real thing. Built by hand from more than 150 separate components, this superb model is crafted with the same passion as the legendary Carroll Shelby® devoted to the original. Every detail is authentic, down to the side-mounted exhausts and the precise re-creation of the powerful Shelby Cobra 427 S/C® engine under the hood. We've even duplicated the world-famous Cobra logo on the hood. Packed with realistic working features, painted and polished by hand, it's ready to roar its way into your collection now!

The 1966 Shelby® Cobra 427 SuperSnake® is without a doubt the "Cobra to End All Cobras," as it was described by Road and Track magazine in 1968. Earning the title of "SUPERSNAKE®" after being transformed by Carroll Shelby™ into his own personal dream Cobra. To the already legendary Competition 427 Big Block he added twin Paxton Superchargers, raising the horsepower to 800. He joined this power plant to a Super 3-speed automatic transmission. Skinned with its European-styled, lightweight aluminum Competition body, this Cobra was truly the ultimate Muscle Car.

Its history is equally as impressive. CSX 3015 started out as full Competition roadsters without bumpers, mufflers or a windshield, built strictly for the European racing circuit, not public roads. Sometime in early to mid-1967, CSX 3015 was transformed into the SuperSnake® and reclassified as a street-legal 427 Cobra S/C™ (Semi-Competition), while retaining the heart of a full race machine.

History shows CSX 3015 to be one of only two SuperSnakes® ever built. The other, CSX 3303, was destroyed when its owner committed suicide by driving the car into the Pacific Ocean, leaving CSX 3015 the only surviving authentic Shelby® SuperSnake®. On January 20th, 2007, CSX 3015 made history again when it sold at Barrett Jackson for a record-breaking 5 million dollars, making this classic one of the most coveted automotive icons ever.

Now, the 1966 Shelby® Cobra 427 SuperSnake® is re-created in an extraordinary precision-engineered replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. Authentic in every detail, the 1966 Shelby® Cobra 427 SuperSnake® Limited Edition is a die-cast model you will treasure for many years to come.

Limited Edition of 5,000 worldwide.

We all have our dream cars. The legendary Carroll Shelby® is no exception. Back in the late Sixties, he made his dream come true by taking his blatantly awesome CSX 3015 competition roadster - built for the European racing circuit - and increasing its already formidable power with the addition of twin Paxton Superchargers, boosting the horsepower to a near-mythic 800.

He didn't stop there. The fitting of a lightweight competition body with decidedly European flair infused alluring beauty to the ferocious beast under the hood. With the further addition of bumpers, mufflers and a windshield, Shelby's® magus opus was classified as a street-legal 427 Cobra S/C® (S/C for Semi-Competition). Only two were ever built, and only one remains selling at auction for a nifty $5,500,000!

This is the car re-created for you now by the engineers of Franklin Mint Precision Models. And like the actual Supersnake®, it's a study in pure power and styling that will bring a touch of excitement to any collection.

•Doors: Your model's doors are hinged in the front.

Ford Model T Convertible - LE

It's as if the word icon was coined expressly for the Ford Model T. The car that put America on wheels cuts a new path through history--in the form of a spectacular precision model. It’s loaded with true-to-life detail. The seats are upholstered with real leather; the dash and firewall are adorned in wood veneer. As a final touch, the radiator frame and cap, wheel hubs, headlights and lamps bear the look of burnished brass.

By 1908, the American landscape had changed. Slowly but steadily, horse-drawn carriages and wagons made way for another kind of horse-powered vehicle, as more and more automobiles appeared on the nation's roads. By that same year, some 140,000 automobiles had been registered in the U.S. There was no denying that the U.S. was on the move. The only thing lacking: a motorcar the average American could afford.

Enter Henry Ford, the visionary whose Model T, or Tin Lizzie as it would eventually be called, changed things forever.

In a production run lasting between 1908 and 1927, more than 15 million Model Ts were produced. In the inaugural year of 1908, customers could choose models painted red, gray or green. By the following year, blue had been added to the Model T spectrum. The bulk of the historic Model Ts appeared after 1913, for that was the year Ford introduced the moving assembly line. In order to save valuable time in his quest to produce as many Model Ts as possible, Ford determined that each car be painted the same color: black. However, it has been estimated that more than 30 different types of black paint were used for the myriad number of parts that went into the assembly of a Model T. Moreover, black was a more economical choice, enabling Ford to keep the price of each model within reach of the average wage earner.

With the introduction of the famous Ford assembly line, every Model T was exactly the same, even down to that basic black color. But perhaps a bit of Henry Ford's feisty spirit lived in each of his Flivvers, as they were sometimes called. For all its dependable ways, its simplicity and superiority, the Model T had a certain whimsy, an unpredictable side that often confounded its owner. Yet in this respect, the car was almost human and people tended to deal with its temperamental ways with a sort of cherished affection.

Initially, use of the Model T was restricted to pleasure driving. Sunday trips for places 25 miles distant could now be planned without buying train tickets for the whole family. Relatives could stay in touch. A fair or concert out of town was within reach. In this way, the dependable little Model T did more than offer basic transportation. It opened up horizons and forever changed the way Americans lived.

Limited Edition of 1,500

Operating Features

•Doors: As on the real Model T, your model has three doors; one in the front by the passenger, the other two in the rear. The spare tire’s mounting location blocks the location of a fourth door. The front door is hinged at the front and the rear doors are hinged at the rear.

•Steering: The front wheels can be positioned for display.

•Wheels: The road wheels actually roll. The spare is non-removable.

•Crank Handle: As on the real Model T, the crank handle to start the engine is located just beneath the radiator, facing forward. Gently turn it to simulate the motion.

•Hood: The hood opens revealing the Model T four-cylinder engine

Shelby:® King of the Cobras - LE

One of the hottest automobiles of all time just got hotter! And now you can feel the heat of the King of Cobras--Carroll Shelby's® Cobra 427 S/C® re-created in the preferred 1:24 scale. We've captured the original 427 S/C® down to the smallest detail of the powerful OHV V-8 engine.

Adorning the hood, two fang-bearing King Cobras emerge fiercely from a nest of flames. Set in the middle of the two snakes, the world-famous Cobra® emblem--symbol of power, speed and flat-out sex appeal. The trunk is artfully rendered to resemble the scaled, multi-colored surface of snake hide, thereby completing an inspired rendering that dramatically enhances the mystique of one of the world's most awesome automobiles.

Simply put: The Shelby Cobra 427 S/C® defied convention. When introduced in the early 1960s, it roared into automotive history as quite possibly the most provocative front-engine roadster ever built. By the middle of the decade, the Cobra®'s beauty-to-brawn ratio increased dramatically with the addition of the blatantly potent 427 cid V-8 racing engine.

Of the 348 Cobra 427s produced in 1965, only 31 carried the S/C (Street Competition) designation. Its rarity, combined with its devilish good looks, made the 427® a certified legend--a siren that continues to cast her irresistible spell over Muscle Car enthusiasts to this day.

This sizzling, precision-engineered re-creation evokes the fiery spirit of Carroll Shelby®'s masterpiece as never before, and is sure to add a bright, distinctive look to your collection.

Carroll Shelby's® dream car combined continental flair with race-track power. The result: what many consider the greatest contribution to the world of speed ever. Today, this is the classic 427 S/C® against which all others are measured. With its trim and additional details that include the precisely styled headlights, it is among the rarest, most desirable S/Cs ever.

It is considered The Standard--the most perfectly restored Shelby Cobra 427 S/C® in existence. 2008 Mustang BULLITT GT - STEVE MCQUEEN Commemorative Ed.

A Tribute to the King of Cool

It's a car STEVE McQUEEN would have been proud of. Celebrating 40 years since Lieutenant Frank Bullitt took us for the ride of our lives. Ford Motor company issued a special anniversary edition Ford Mustang carrying the same aggressive looks of the famous '68 GT that roared through the streets of San Francisco chasing two hit-men in a "Tuxedo Black" 1968 Dodge Charger R/T 440 Magnum. Now, this incredible tribute car can be yours in a fantastic precision scale die-cast replica issued in a strictly Limited Edition of just 5,000 pieces worldwide.

Your precision-engineered model matches every spectacular detail of the actual 2008 Ford Mustang BULLITT. The interior has been faithfully re-created, down to the fully instrumented dash and Black Charcoal upholstery. Naturally, the awesome 315hp has been replicated with uncompromising attention to the smallest detail. We have even re-created the BULLITT gun-sight graphic on the fuel cap, an enduring tribute to the motion picture that ignited a legend!

No question: The Big Screen has seen its share of great chase scenes through the years.

No question: The car chase is the perfect "vehicle" for the white-knuckle excitement of a high-speed pursuit, especially through crowded city streets.

No question: The chase scene from the 1968 Steve McQueen classic BULLITT set the standard against which all others are measured--the undisputed champ--the definitive masterpiece.

No contest! To mark the 40th anniversary of BULLITT and of the car chase to end all car chases, Ford Motor Company unveiled a special Limited Edition Mustang BULLITT, combining the breakneck spirit of the movie with the latest technology derived primarily--and not surprisingly--from Ford race cars.

Faithful to the original model driven by McQueen in the motion picture, Ford designers stripped virtually all badges and insignia from the '08 anniversary model. In absentia: the iconic chrome pony typically displayed on the mesh grille, as well as all scoops and spoilers traditionally identified with Mustang styling. Completing the picture--the same Highland Green paint job used on the original '68 BULLITT.

The 2008 Ford Mustang BULLITT packs a wallop under the hood in the form of a potent 4.6 V-8 engine generating 315hp @ 6,000 rpm. Ford engineers transplanted the live rear axle system from the Shelby GT-500-- to add even more punch during acceleration. BULLITT owners were advised by Ford to burn premium fuel; however, an innovative spark ignition permits the use of regular with no fear of damaging the engine

•Doors: The model's doors are hinged at the front to a 45-degree.

•Steering: The front wheels can be positioned for display.

•Trunk: The trunk on your model opens.

•Hood: As on the original car, the hood is hinged.

April of 1964 saw the introduction of the Mustang, which immediately became one of the most popular cars ever sold by Ford. By August of that year, Ford approached Carroll Shelby® and asked him to experiment with the Mustang 2+2 Fastback to see if it could be made into a potential SCCA (Sports Car Club of America) racer. The result was the Shelby GT-350TM. It was a noisy, bear of a car–but exciting and fast. And it did win.

The 1965 GT-350® was such a huge success, Carroll Shelby® continued the regular production to include a 1966 model year. The only significant changes were mostly cosmetic and a few improvements for driver comfort and safety. Among them was the addition of a functional side scoop on the quarter-panel coves for channeled air to cool the rear brakes. A Plexiglas C-pillar window replaced the extractor vents, improving the large blind spot which menaced the Mustang Fastback and Shelby® in 1965. Additionally, the dual exhaust was re-routed to exit the rear of the car, which reduced the interior noise. With its new look and creature comforts, there were no compromises in performance. The race-bred 1966 GT-350® continued to be one of the most popular and widely recognized high-performance brands in the industry.

Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to present this finely detailed and accurate reproduction of the 1966 Shelby GT-350TM.

1933 Ford Deluxe Tudor Police Car w/Trailer - LE

"Calling all Cars. Calling all Cars."

Your ticket to police excitement can be heard through the roar of the siren as this 1933 Ford Tudor police car races through Chicago in pursuit of mob bosses and scofflaws. Feel the gangster danger, the ratt-a-tatt of the Tommy Gun and the sound of victory as the long arm of the law prevails and calm is restored. Your 1933 Ford Tudor police car comes complete with a loaded service trailer with period-correct accessories and vintage signage.

In the 1930s, the police had a formidable job. Due in part to Prohibition, organized crime was rampant in many U.S. cities. Chicago was the home or operating base for much of this illegal activity. The Chicago police had to contend with the mob syndicate and infamous personalities like Al Capone and John Dillinger, who operated illegal liquor stills and breweries. Daily bank robberies were not unusual.

Police raids were commonplace and many times the mob was better armed than the good guys. One key element toward the success of the police back then - and today - was their vehicles. The police had to "fight fire with fire." They needed a chase car that was, at the very least, as fast and reliable as the mobsters' cars. Since the 1933 Ford Deluxe V-8 was the get-away car of choice for many crime bosses, law enforcement incorporated the same vehicle into their stable. Among the fans of the Ford was 1933 "Public Enemy Number One," John Dillinger. He once wrote Henry Ford an unsolicited testimonial, praising the performance and styling of his own "hot" '33 Deluxe. As such, there was no better police chase vehicle than the 1933 Ford Deluxe V-8. The thick steel on the doors served to slow the barrage of bullets from ensuing machine gun battles, the 221 cubic inch V-8 engine with aluminum heads gave the needed horsepower to carry reinforcements and ammunition to the scene. With a top speed of 78 mph, the ’33 Ford Deluxe V-8 police cars leveled the playing field.

The Franklin Mint is pleased to offer this 1:24 scale die-cast tribute to the law enforcement vehicle of times past. Our Chicago "mob squad" automobile comes fully equipped to handle the most ruthless of gangsters and mob bosses. Not only does it faithfully replicate the most coveted crime-fighting cruiser of the day, it also comes with a fully stocked arsenal in tow with the era-correct police trailer.

Bonnie and Clyde's 1932 Ford V-8

A model teeming with historical significance!

Make a quick getaway in the Ford favored by history's greatest outlaws, complete with the gear you need for the big heist. Inspired by an actual getaway car driven by "The Bloody Barrows." Swing open the doors for a look at the authentic interior. Open the dual side-lifting hood to admire the incredibly detailed re-creation of the Ford Flathead V-8 engine.

Scale-size replicas of firearms, an ammo box, as well as Bonnie's beret and Clyde's fedora capture the excitement and romance of the memorable days of the infamous Barrow gang. Hand assembled in 1:24 scale from more than 250 parts.

"I have drove Fords exclusively when I could get away with one. It has got every other car skinned and even if my business hasn't been strictly legal it don't hurt anything to tell you what a fine car you got in the V-8." Thus did the notorious outlaw Clyde Barrow write to Henry Ford. One must consider that Barrow was sincere in his praise, for Barrow stole his cars - to him they were all the same price and he could have had any he wanted - and the Barrow gang chose Fords as their getaway cars. For twenty-eight months, Clyde Barrow, Bonnie Parker and their gang wreaked havoc throughout the mid- and southwest. With total disregard for the law, the couple looted and robbed, twice robbing the National Guard itself, which provided the gang with a well-stocked cache of weapons - which they were not reluctant to use. From February 2, 1932, when Clyde was paroled and reunited with Bonnie, until April 1934, the Barrow gang became bolder and bolder. Indeed, by April 1934, Clyde Barrow had been named Public Enemy #1.

Yet during that time, the Barrow gang seemed exceptionally charmed. Numerous times, the police or National Guard would have the gang surrounded or fall into a planned ambush, but Bonnie and Clyde and their cohorts would shoot their way out, leaving many dead and injured as they escaped.

Not only was the gang ruthless, they were arrogant. They took pictures of themselves posing with their guns and their cars and wrote letters and poems describing their life. The record they left behind gave the public a rare glimpse into criminal life and ensured that they would enter into the annals of American folklore.

1968 Mustang GT™ Fastback - LE

In 1968, Ford continued with the restyled, larger and heavier, higher Mustang platform that was introduced in the previous model year. With the horsepower war raging, Ford was forced to up the ante, using its existing big blocks in the new ’67 — ’68 offering. To accommodate the dimensionally larger engine, the body had to be widened 21/2 inches, resulting in a 2" wider front and rear track. This not only gave the car more sure-footed handling, but added to its already menacing stance.

For the ’68 model year, Mustang received a mild facelift. The most notable change was the deletion of the ’67 simulated vents in front of the rear wheels, replaced with a cleaner-looking vertical chrome trim bar integrated into the side C-scoop. Adding the sleek, profiled fastback body option made for the perfect blend of aggressive and elegant design. The 390 engine would be basically the same as ’67 with a new name, GT390, and a token 5 additional horsepower. While some pony car enthusiasts complained about the larger chassis and body, Ford answered the nay-sayers with higher ’68 Mustang production numbers than comparable ponies like Camaro, GTO and Barracuda.

The Franklin Mint is proud to offer its 1:24 scale tribute to the 1968 Mustang GT Fastback — with all the unique features of the original, including a fully detailed GT390 engine and sizzling Sixties-style interior.

1967 Shelby GT-500 - EXP - LE

In 1966, Carroll Shelby® ordered a loaded 1967 Mustang convertible and a notchback coupe (converted to GT-500 specs as a loaner car, test mule and promotional vehicle), later to become known as "Little Red." The coupe was widely exposed to the press, but the ragtop spent most of its time as an employee driver or courtesy car for potential Shelby® customers. Early marketing indications showed that a convertible version of the now-popular Shelby® fastback would do well as part of the Shelby® American line. But it would be another year before that would officially happen.

At some point in the car's history, it managed to be out of sight long enough to escape the corporate policy requiring all test and engineering cars to be destroyed. Perhaps to protect it or just to meet the new-year model change, the red convertible was stripped of its 1967 trim, transformed into a 1968 model and used to promote Shelby’s® new model for the 1968 year. Eventually, the car was sold as a used 1968 GT-500 convertible and disappeared into the public sector.

Thirty years later, the car was purchased from a private owner under the guise of it being a 1968 Shelby®. It was not long before the new owners came to a shocking conclusion: it was the only 1967 Shelby® convertible ever made! Fueled by this revelation, the car was restored to exacting standards and researched for over seven years to be sure that all features and unique 1967 details were restored to original condition.

The newly restored convertible debuted at the 2004 Chicago Auto Show, where it was reunited with ol' Shel himself. Surprised at the car's survival, citing Ford's policy of destroying experimental cars, Shelby® was pleased to find it had indeed somehow survived. Documentation supports this car as built in December of 1966 and coded as a 1967 production build Q3-code Shelby® convertible. It was originally equipped with the 428 Police Interceptor engine, C-6 automatic, air conditioning and black décor interior. Gleaming with Candy Apple Red paint, a potent 428 PI engine/C-6 transmission combination, GT-500 designation, white convertible top and Shelby® wheels.

The Franklin Mint is proud to present the definitive Shelby®, the one and only 1967 GT-500™ EXP convertible, beautifully replicated to the exacting standards originally assigned by Shelby® American.

1957 Corvette® Fuelie - Fiberglass Edition

The only '57 Vette® model with genuine fiberglass body!

It's just like the real thing! And you'll enjoy its many operable features--like removing the convertible top, opening the center console and engaging the fully functional suspension system. It took more than 275 separate components to get everything right including the twin exhaust pipes, real rubber tires and 283 Cid engine. The hand-painted scorching red body is complemented by a shoreline beige interior.

Weighing only 2,880 pounds, the 1957 Corvette® "Fuelie" was not the first car to be built with a fiberglass body, but it was the first to come from one of the big automobile makers. Perhaps this fiberglass flier’s biggest claim to fame was the fact that it introduced one of General Motors® Corporation’s most revered engines--the 283 cubic inch V-8. When General Motors® modified this power plant with fuel injection, the engine produced an unprecedented 283 horsepower--capable of going from 0-60 mph in under six seconds. Additionally, it was the first car to combine fuel injection with a 4-speed manual gearbox.

Aside from the lightweight design and mind-boggling performance capabilities, the 1957 Corvette® was one of the most handsome automobiles ever built. From its wrap-around windshield to its two-toned paint job, this remarkable roadster was a major milestone in the development of the Corvette® legacy. This Franklin Mint Precision Model is an authentic tribute to the vision, power and appeal of Corvette® design and technology.

2006 Corvette® Z06 Indy 500® Pace Car - LE

The red, white and blue Z06 that led the pack at the Indy 500® proved why Corvette® has been honored as the Indy 500® Pace Car eight times by 2006! Now the icon can be yours in this 1:24 scale re-creation that captures every awesome detail of the actual Vette®.

The automobile chosen to pace the prestigious Indianapolis 500® race has always been considered the best that automotive technology can offer. In 2006 a Chevy® paced the race, for a record 17th time. For the 2006 running the Chevrolet® in question was the Z06 Corvette®, and it's the eighth time for a Corvette® to be leading the pack The fabulous Z06 was based on the C6.R Corvette® racer that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four out of the previous five years.

The 2006 Corvette® Z06 Pace car is virtually identical to the models available to the public. The production Corvette® is so racing-ready that it can handle the rigors of pacing with very few additions necessary. In fact, the only changes made to prepare it for pacing were the addition of strobe lights and racing safety gear. The Z06 with its 505 horsepower is capable of 198 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds. It has sophisticated aerodynamics, a suspension that can handle 1.01 Gs in for cornering and large 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels that are a foot wide in the rear.

Pace cars are expected to endure strenuous use. For example, during the last four Indy 500® races, the Chevy® pace vehicles led the field for a combined 186 laps of the total 800 laps driven. That's 2,000 miles! It's no wonder that the high performance 2006 Corvette® Z06 was eminently suitable for pace car duties. For the 2006 race the Pace car featured a patriotic red, white and blue theme. Graphics included an abstract U.S. flag pattern with "Victory Red" and "Cobalt Blue" ribbons flowing across the car with white stars flanking each side. The Americana graphics were more than appropriate for this most famous of high performance American cars.

2008 GCA Corvette® Z06 - Limited Edition

The only thing better than owning a Vette®? How 'bout having one that doesn't look like the other guy’s. One that will turn heads and have lookers straining to catch another glimpse. That's the concept behind the GM® Genuine Corvette® Accessories (GCA) program--offering a tricked-out custom look with factory accessories that are perfectly integrated to give each Vette its own identity.

This torrid precision model re-creates an '08 Z06™, accurate down to every detail of the powerful LS7 engine, detailed undercarriage and fully appointed interior. GCA personalization includes custom silver-and-victory-red stripe hood treatment, competition gray wheels, metal grille screens and special engine décor.

The engineering excellence of the C6 Corvette® Z06™ is a direct result of racing victories of the Corvette® C5-R that won every race in the 2004 season--the most successful string of wins in the 50-year racing history of Corvette®.

In 2008, the Z06™ maintained 505 horsepower and delivered a 0-60 time of less than 4 seconds. Responsible for this was the LS7 engine, first introduced in 2006 with the largest displacement small block ever produced by GM. Inside, the lightweight components, including titanium, assist in getting the power to the pavement without adding excessive weight.

The body, too, has a unique aluminum structure for optimum rigidity and light weight for the fixed-roof style. A wide front with forward-facing grille opening and splitter along the sides provides aerodynamic down-force. In fact, the aerodynamics of the Z06™'s shape was specifically derived from the CR-5 racing program. In the cockpit, the gauge cluster displays the Z06™ logo and the new three-spoke steering wheel has a smaller diameter, providing better handling and "road feel."

Now, this ultra high-performance icon has been faithfully reproduced as a die-cast model with every detail intact and GCA personalized in black and silver with competition gray wheels, real metal grille screens around and special engine decor. The 2008 GCA Corvette® Z06™ would be the flagship in any serious Corvette® enthusiast’s model collection.

1965 Corvette® Sting Ray Fiberglass Coupe

Our most technologically advanced 1:24 scale Vette ever!

Just when Corvette® lovers thought things could not get any better, along came the '65 Sting Ray™. Out were the hood vents of earlier models. In were three functioning front-fender louvers for increased airflow. Gone were the rear drum brakes of previous years, replaced by the smoother, easier four-wheel disc variety.

But the most significant change of all... the introduction of the thoroughly awesome 396 Turbo Jet engine – first of the factory-built Big Blocks to power a Corvette® - equally at home on the track as on the street, to the degree that many who owned one drove their pride-and-joy "a quarter mile at a time!"

Here's your invitation to join the "Big Block" party by ordering the definitive precision re-creation of the one-and-only Corvette® ever to sport the powerful 396 Turbo Jet Big Block engine. Assembled entirely by hand, this spectacular model matches the original, detail for scorching detail. The "bulge hood," flip-up headlights and fully appointed interior... every distinctive feature re-created to an unprecedented degree of accuracy by the engineers of Franklin Mint Precision Models. And, of course, there's the unparalleled re-creation of the Turbo Jet engine under the hood, accurate right down to the air cleaner assembly that can actually be removed to view the carburetor and engine block.

Just like the actual auto, this sensational model features a body of real fiberglass, hand-painted a torrid Rally Red. A must for your Corvette® collection!

In order to re-create the torrid '65 Vette, our engineers developed all-new tooling, thereby making it a completely new and individual model unlike any other ever produced. Here is our most technologically advanced Corvette® model to date, packed with details that place this model in a league all it's own.

Additional working features include functional suspension, operable steering, hinged fuel cap and detachable jack compartment door, a fully appointed interior, flip-up headlights, tread patterns that match original, a fully detailed carburetor, and an exhaust system that appears in perfect clarity as part of the detailed undercarriage.

The 1965 Corvette® was in many ways the alpha omega of Corvettes®. 1965 introduced the first GM® factory big block option for any Corvette®. The powerful 396 Turbo Jet engine delivered 425 hp and 415 foot-pounds of torque. This was a quantum leap from previous years, with 375 hp the highest option offered in 1964. With this new factory muscle under the hood, the '65 Corvette® was just as much at home on the track as the street. In fact, most who purchased this option drove their Corvettes®... a quarter mile at a time! The 1965 Corvette® was also the first year to offer the new "bulge hood," designed for the big block option, and the first Corvette® to have side exhaust pipes and a power radio antenna. The 1965 model year was also the omega Corvette®. It was the last "fuelie" Corvette®. While customers could choose a carbureted model, fuel injection for Corvettes® would vanish until new throttle body injection was introduced in 1982. 1965 was also the last year for rear drum brakes; all Corvettes® would now be offered with four-wheel disc brakes as standard equipment.

The 1965 Corvette® is also the "one and only"... The only model year Corvette® to sport the 396 Turbo Jet, it would be replaced with a bigger big block in 1966, never again to be found under the hood of any other factory Corvette® built. This fact alone makes 1965 a benchmark year for Corvette® and makes it a true classic. With limited production numbers, only a very fortunate few can own the real deal. Franklin Mint Precision Models has captured the essence of this automotive icon and is proud

1972 Corvette® LT-1 Convertible - LE

A Must-Have for Serious Collectors!

For the knowledgeable Corvette® enthusiast, this model falls into the Must Have category. Model year '72 marked the end of an era for the ultimate American sports car, as those distinctive front and rear chrome bumpers made their last appearance. The age of mirror-polished, bright metal bracelets which had been the finishing touch of this elegant and aggressive Muscle Car since its birth in 1953 would disappear from all factory Corvette® autos built to date. The Corvette® chrome bling would be replaced with a body color bumper in the front in 1973 and both front and rear by 1974. The 1972 Corvette® was also the last year for the removable rear window on the coupe and the legendary LT-1 solid-lifter, high-compression engine option, making it a must-have Corvette® for any serious car collector. The LT-1 engine designation would reappear again 1992 as a new and improved base 350 engine, much different from this '70s powerhouse. Although the horsepower rating for the 1972 LT-1 would experience a dramatic decrease from 330 hp in '71 to 255 hp in '72, she maintained her sleek profile and elegant styling, even adding for the first time on the LT-1 engine...air conditioning! The number of 1972 LT-1-air cars built is believed to be only 240.

This superb precision model sports a fully appointed interior and the definitive re-creation of the V-8 OHV RPO LT-1 engine under the hood. Working features include operable steering, spinning road wheels and functional suspension. Hard-top and soft-top included.

The Franklin Mint is pleased to offer this tribute to Corvette® history with its 1:24 scale precision die-cast 1972 Corvette® LT-1 Convertible replica.

2008 Corvette® LS3 Convertible Indy 500® Pace Car - LE

Your choice of two exclusive editions! For car guys, the sounds of Summer are filled with the cheer of the crowd and the thunderous sound of hundreds of tires blistering over the track at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Now, to once again honor America’s favorite annual kickoff to Summer, Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to introduce the 2008 Corvette® LS3 Indy 500® Pace Car in two special Limited Editions! Painted in basic black over silver checkered-flag coves, reminiscent of the first Corvette® Pace Car in 1978, these pace cars lit up the track with their all-new LS3 motors churning out 430 horsepower and a whopping 424 foot pounds of torque.

Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to announce two exclusive Limited Edition die-cast replicas to honor this historic race. By acting now, you can choose one or both of the spectacular models featured here – Coupe or Convertible – precision replicas of the very cars that paced the 2008 Indianapolis 500® Mile Race. But you better hurry, as these models are strictly limited to just 5,000 each, worldwide.

The 2008 Indianapolis 500® was a unique and landmark year in Corvette® Pace Car history. This would be the 10th – and 5th consecutive – time that a Corvette® was used to pace this nostalgic event. No other car can lay claim to those attainments. 2008 also marked the 30th anniversary since the first Corvette® was used as a Pace Car in 1978. Additionally, this year would be the first time in Pace Car history that more than one car was used to start the race.

The 2008 Corvette® LS3 convertible would be one of the three Corvettes® selected to lead the 33 cars and drivers of the 92nd Indy 500® across the “Yard of Bricks.” To commemorate this 30th anniversary, the '08 LS3 convertible would be painted in basic black over silver checker-flag cove graphics and traditional Indianapolis 500® badges, reminiscent of its 1978 predecessor. However, appearance is where the similarities would end. Performance-wise, this car would literally be miles ahead of the first Corvette® Pace Car, with nearly twice the horsepower of the L82 and suspension and handling technology that was not even dreamed of in 1978. Additionally, the LS3 convertible was equipped with a 6-speed, clutchless paddle shift automatic-mode transmission. To add further distinction, the track car and limited edition replica cars that would be sold to the public would each be signed by two-time Indy 500® winner and world champion, Emerson Fittipaldi.

With all original track car-correct graphics and details like tonneau cover strobe lights, Simpson racing seat belts and fire extinguisher, The Franklin Mint is pleased to offer its faithful 1:24 scale die-cast replica to honor this historic event and unique automobile.

1966 Corvette® Sting Ray™ Fiberglass Convertible - LE

The "Big Block" party was all the rage in '66, as GM® dropped the powerful 427cid engine in the new Corvette®. Yet, the 327cid remained a stalwart, time-tested option. Open the hood of this awesome model and feast your eyes on the intricately detailed re-creation of the reliable 327. And it doesn’t end there. Additional features include removable real cloth convertible top, hinged fuel cap door, complete complement of Vette emblems and genuine fiberglass body. Hand-painted in Mosport Green, it's the essential acquisition for sports car enthusiasts.

1966 was another banner year for Corvette®. This model year was the beginning of a Big Block legend that would last until 1969 and would not appear again under the hood of any Corvette® until the 2006 Z06 supercar was unveiled. In 1966, the 427 cubic inch engine was offered at two horsepower ratings--390 and the coveted L72 425. GM® originally rated this motor at 450 but later reduced it to 425 hp as an administrative change, with no changes being made to the engine itself. In the shadow of the new big block lay the faithful and time-tested 327 cubic inch engine, which continued to be the standard equipment motor in 1966.

Since 1962, this small block had been reliably pushing the Corvette® up and down the street and the strip and would continue to do so until 1969, when the 350 was introduced. Like the big block, the 327 engine was also offered in two horsepower ratings--300 being the standard base equipment engine, and for an additional $105.35 you could add the L79 350 horsepower option. While not being a 427, it fell somewhere in between and was not a bad compromise! With its lighter weight and equal compression rating, the L79 offered modest acceleration and performance that any Muscle Car enthusiast would love to have under foot. Add to this mid-sixties classic a convertible option and you had a true middle-of-the-road roadster.

Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to offer a 1:24 scale, real fiberglass tribute to the 1966 Corvette® 327 Convertible.

2007 Corvette® Indy 500® Pace Car - LE

Take a victory lap in this historic Vette pace car

At the 91st running of the Indianapolis 500®, Corvette® paced the field for the fourth year in a row--quite the honor for America's Sports Car! This spectacular precision model of that torrid Corvette® classic drives you straight to the oval at the Brickyard. It's packed with authentic detail that includes a precise re-creation of the LS2 small-block V-8 under the hood, its Z06™ rear spoiler, split-spoke wheels, Atomic Orange paint scheme, gold-ribbon graphics and complete array of Indy 500® logos. Setting the pace in die-cast collectibles, this model was assembled by hand, hand-painted and hand-finished. The only thing this stunning die-cast collectible is lacking--a place of distinction in your collection.

In 2007 Corvette® marked a record 9th time that America's sports car had been honored with pace car laurels.

2007 was also the first year since 1998 that GM offered replicas of the Indy 500® Pace Car to the public. For just under $67,000, enthusiasts could enjoy the six-speed manual version with the Z51 performance package (distinguished by a stiffer suspension), state-of-the-art navigation and sound system. For about $1,225 more, customers could opt for the six-speed, paddle-shift automatic transmission.

Approximately 500 pace car replicas were built. Naturally, they featured all the bells and whistles of the car that led the way at Indy on May 27, 2007. The official logo of the Indianapolis 500® was combined with GM's "gold-ribbon" graphics against an Atomic Orange paint scheme. Indy 500® badges appeared on the fenders and on selected locales in the interior, and were even embroidered on the black leather-upholstered bucket seats.

This history-making Corvette® was equipped with a small rear spoiler and sporty silver split-spoke wheels. Residing under the hood, the powerful 400hp LS2 V-8 that provided punch to complement the pizzazz of the car that led the pack at the Indy 500® in customary Corvette® style.

Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to present this finely detailed and accurate reproduction of the 2007 Corvette® Indy 500® Pace Car.

2009 Corvette® ZR1

"Chevrolet enters the world of supercars" — "The fastest production Corvette® ever" — "A true Limited Edition car" — "Absolutely phenomenal"

These are just a few of the quotes that have attempted to describe the performance, styling and design of the 2009 Corvette® ZR1™. The goal of Corvette® designers Tom Peters and Kirk Bennion was to build a Corvette® that would capture the attention of the European supercar clan while leaving the domestic wannabes in the dust.

The ZR1™ has exceeded these expectations — with a lightweight body dressed with exposed carbon fiber panels that not only gives this car an aggressive appearance, but also facilitates its 205mph top speed. Under the clear polycarbonate hood window lies an all-new LS9 supercharged 6.2 liter V-8. Also designed for one thing: speed. Delivering an unprecedented 638 horsepower...more than 100 horses per liter! The main source of this exceptional horsepower gain from the small block LS9 is the Eaton Roots-type Twin Vortices Series (TVS) supercharger. Attach this power pack to a six-speed, close-ratio, race-hardened manual transmission and you have a drive train fit for a supercar!

To be a true supercar, the ZR1™ would also have to stop and handle like one. To meet this criteria for the first time ever, specially designed Michelin Z-rated tires would be original equipment on a Corvette®! The brakes, too, would have to be super...fitted with a Brembo CCM brake system with carbon ceramic matrix rotors capable of operating at 1,000 degrees Celsius without warping. The ZR1™ Corvette® is "a true limited edition car" without American or European equal at its price point.

The "absolutely phenomenal" 2009 Corvette® ZR1™ is now available from The Franklin Mint in 1:24 scale. From the clear hood window to the carbon ceramic rotors, we have accurately replicated every possible unique feature of this true American supercar!

1960 Corvette® 50th Anniversary - LE

The previous decade—the fabulous Fifties—saw the introduction of the Chevrolet® Corvette®, America’s first sports car, and the years witnessed continual refinement of this classic model. By the end of the decade, it was boasting one horsepower per one cubic inch. Yet as the new decade dawned, the Chevrolet® Corvette® set out to redefine American motoring while retaining the unique design and engineering that had come to define the ’Vette®.

The 1960 Corvette®, therefore, was the benchmark between the original classic of the ’50s and the automobiles that were yet to come. It was a two-door convertible—there was no coupe offered that year—and it was the last Corvette® with the heavy “teeth” in its grille. It was also the last year to feature taillights formed into the rounded rear fenders. While the 1960 Corvette® retained smooth, stylish lines of the previous year, several subtle changes were added to the overall vehicle. A new dramatic gauge cluster was grouped on the dashboard, and some models appeared with aluminum radiators.

Underneath the hood, the standard 283 cid V-8 engine could be upgraded to a variety of performance levels that ranged from 230 to 290 horsepower. Coupled with a choice of either dual four-barreled carburetors or fuel injection, the powerplant of this ’Vette® provided a broad-enough spectrum to satisfy the needs and desires of the widest range of drivers.

Available in eight colors—and with the option of two-tone finishes—the Corvette® was uniquely beautiful,a true sports car in every sense and a brilliant prelude to the future.

Now, 50 years since its debut, Franklin Mint Precision Models re-creates the Corvette® that inaugurated the "swinging ’60s" in an incomparable die-cast replica—the 1960 Corvette®. Masterfully crafted and accurately detailed, this precision die-cast replica captures all the excitement of the automobile that bridged the original 1950s ’Vette® styling to the classic 1960s models. From the Ermine White finish with red side panels to the 283 cid engine under the hood, your 1960 Corvette® is a classic that will be treasured for years to come.
