The M-109 was also continually updated during its period of service to match evolving operational needs. The 155 mm main armament was also improved with the introduction of the A1 version with its long-barrelled M185 gun, which provided a significantly increased range of fire. The subsequent A2 version incorporated further improvements of the weapon including, aiming, ammunition and target acquisition systems. The M-109 was produced in large numbers, equipping both American armed forces and key NATO allies.

1/35 U.S. Infantry Scout Set

Tamiya is delighted to announce the release of a U.S. infantry set to follow the popular German army set (Item 35371 released in 2019).

Various series of the short-sleeve M41 jacket and leggings had been the staple of the American Army uniform around June 1944 when the Invasion of Normandy occured, but from summer in that year onward, the new common uniform was developed for paratrooper, armored and mountain divisions, and the M43 field jacket and 2-buckle boot became common. It’s been 27 years since the last new release of a U.S. infantry set (Item 35192), so do not miss this chance to get these figures in multipurpose pose.

About the Item
• This is a 1/35 scale plastic figure model assembly kit.
• U.S. infantry scouts are accurately captured in uniform typical of the WWII period.
• These figures depict the commander looking ahead with M1 Carbine in hand, two soldiers with M1 Garand and BAR, one soldier with the Handie Talkie (Thompson submachine gun on the ground) and a rifleman down on one knee.
• Figures are in realistic pose and have lifelike facial expressions that add a further element of authenticity to any model or diorama of the period. (Use with M4A3E8 Sherman "Easy Eight", M10 and M18 Hellcat is recommended.)
• Accessories such as fire extinguisher, grenades and binoculars are also realistically captured.
• Comes with five helmets (two out of the five have camouflage nets).
• Decals are included to depict rank insignia on sleeves.

The German armored car ‘Schwerer Panzerspähwagen Sd.Kfz. 234/2’ known as "Puma", was developed and produced by the German war machine in the closing years of WW2. The vehicle proved to be an excellent mix of mobility, protection and firepower which was built upon the operational experience gained by the Wehrmacht in the early stages of the conflict. From 1939 onwards the German army had used armored vehicles very effectively for advanced reconnaissance tasks, and also in a ground support role for its troops. The “Puma” was initially a reconnaissance vehicle, but due to its KwK 39 L / 60 50 mm gun it could also be used equally effectively in offensive actions against infantry and other armored vehicles. It was deployed in limited numbers on both the Eastern and Western fronts. The highly effective independent suspension system of the eight wheels and the powerful engine, enabled the Puma to reach speeds of up to 90 km/h on all types of battlefield terrain.

Finished model has a length of 19,4cm.

1:35 LAV-25 T.U.A.

The LAV-25 is an 8-wheel drive armored vehicle, characterized by good amphibious capacity, used since the early 1980s by the Marine Corps for reconnaissance and infantry support activities.

He entered service in 1983 and actively participated in operations "Desert Storm" (1991) "Restore Hope" (1993), "Enduring Freedom" (2001) and "Operation Iraqi Freedom" (2003). Equipped with a diesel engine, which allows the LAV to reach 100 km / h, and with an independent wheel suspension system, which makes it ideal for "all-terrain" use, it was developed and built in numerous versions.

The anti-tank version is equipped with the Emerson T.U.A. (Tow-Under-Armor) 901A1, a missile system armed with TOW-2 anti-tank guided missiles, installed in a rotating turret and equipped with thermal and visual target identification systems. Conceived to operate in Marines reconnaissance units, the anti-tank version is capable of providing a contrast capability against the most powerful enemy battle tanks.

1/35 German 1ton Half-Track Sd.Kfz.10

Not to be taken lightly
The Sd.Kfz.10 belonged to the lightest category of trucks operated by the German forces during WWII, its compact body powered by a 100hp Maybach HL42 engine and gearbox allowing seven forward and three reverse speeds. The result was a vehicle which was very much at home on rough terrain, had a top speed of 65km/h and an operational range of up to 350km (on-road). There was sufficient space in the vehicle for 2 crew and 6 passengers. Originally developed to tow lighter weaponry such as 2cm anti-aircraft guns, 7.5cm light infantry guns and 5cm anti-tank guns, by the end of the war it was also hauling heavier units such as 7.5cm anti-tank guns and 30cm rocket launchers. For the 15,000-plus Sd.Kfz.10s manufactured between 1939 and 1944, a number of duties were assigned, in locations including the Eastern and North African fronts.

1/35 German Horch Kfz.15 "North African Campaign"

A Trusty Servant
The Horch-manufactured Kfz.15 was widely used by German forces during WWII. A versatile 4WD vehicle, its well-designed chassis featured 4-wheel independent suspension, and it could carry a maximum of 4 passengers at speeds of up to 90km/h thanks to the 85hp 8-cylinder engine. In a unique design twist, its spare tires were kept on the side of the car and were able to rotate in their storage position, lending a hand should the Kfz.15 encounter rough terrain. Its production ran from 1937 to 1943, and the Kfz.15 could be seen in service in a range of locations: the Western Front, the Balkans, North Africa, and the Eastern Front. Perhaps its most significant action was in the hands of Rommel's Afrika Korps, which put the sturdy and nimble vehicle to extensive use in their battle of attrition with British forces.

This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit. Length: 137mm, Width: 54mm. This updated version of Italeri's classic Horch Kfz.15 kit includes a number of newly-tooled parts, plus newly-added accessories. Tires are made from paintable material. Features a variety of small arms, such as MG34 machine gun with tripod. Comes with 1 standing and 2 seated figures, plus 1 Eastern Front and 2 North African Front marking options.   Tamiya Color paints for painting the German Horch Kfz.15 "North African Campaign"

1/35 Russian Heavy Tank KV-2

Tamiya welcomes a new addition to 1/35 Military Miniature Series – this time, the Russian Heavy Tank KV-2, a heavier variant of the KV-1 (Item 35372). The Russian Heavy Tank KV-2 was developed as the combination of the KV-1 chassis and a massive, boxy turret equipped with a 152mm howitzer. Although its weight caused frequent machinery failure during the early of the German-Soviet War from June, 1941, it’s also recorded that one KV-2 single handedly held up one German division for a few days. The KV-2 concept also played a role in the development of heavy self-propelled guns such as the JSU-152.

About the Model
• This is a 1/35 scale plastic model assembly kit.
• The distinctive bulky form of the Russian Heavy Tank KV-2 is realistically captured in style based on extensive research of actual vehicle.
• Road wheels are no-rib types which were seen on the KV-2 and early KV-1 models, plus return rollers with rubber rims.
• Features large-diameter idler wheels which were equipped with the early and middle production models. (The KV-1 model has small-diameter late production type.)
• The massive turret with 152mm howitzer is box-type assembly, and its surface such as armor plate and weld lines are authentically depicted.
• Main gun barrel has a realistic rendering of rifling near the muzzle.
• The lower and upper hulls, and tracks are the same as the ones of the KV-1 kit.
• Assembly type tracks feature one-piece straight sections and recreate upper run “sag” in style.
• Choose between open or closed hatches.
• Comes with two marking options, one crew torso and one commander full figure.
