Skala 1/24 In October 2, 1959, Chevrolet® introduced its first Corvair™. It was a radical departure from what Americans were used to seeing come off the production lines. Its unique air-cooled, rear-mounted engine, rear-mounted transaxle drive, suspension system and compact size set it apart from the large “land yachts” that Detroit had been producing for so long. Although the car was only a little more than four feet high and just fifteen feet in length, it was built to seat six and was offered in both two-door coupe and four-door sedan models. In February 1960 at the Chicago Auto Show, a sporty two-door club coupe Corvair™ was introduced as a show car—the Corvair™ Monza. The production version appeared within months. Based on the Corvair™ 700 Deluxe series, the Monza featured bucket seats (which now made it a 5-passenger car), optional sun roof and folding rear seat. It was available in a choice of three different interior trims and came with an array of amenities—from dual horns to exterior chrome molding. In all, 11,926 models of the 1960 Corvair™ Monza would be produced. Named Motor Trend magazine’s "Car of the Year" for 1960, the Corvair™ was a perhaps the most significant automobile of the postwar era—and the Monza was the sportiest of them all. Now, in celebration of the 50-year anniversary since the launch of the Corvair™, this iconic engineering marvel is re-created in a precision-engineered 1:24 scale model––the 1960 Chevrolet® Corvair™ 50th Anniversary Limited Edition. Now, you can own the definitive precision model of this historic Rolls, hailed as the smoothest driving automobile of its day. Every distinctive feature of the original is preserved for all time in a model that stands up to the closest inspection. From the sumptuous coach to the perfectly detailed re-creation of the six cylinder, L-head engine.
The 1911 Rolls-Royce was a notable car for a variety of reasons. Not the least of these was the introduction of the renowned Rolls-Royce mascot—the "Spirit of Ecstasy" hood ornament. This identifiable mascot—the longest-lived mascot ever used—was created in 1911 by noted English sculptor, Charles Sykes. It is said that Lord Montagu’s secretary, a Miss Thornton, posed as a model for the winged figure, although no proof of this exists. In fact, the figure more closely resembles the artist himself. So pleased were company officials with the mascot that in 1920 they entered it into a world competition in Paris and won first prize.
The first automobile graced with the elegant Spirit of Ecstasy mascot was a 1911 Rolls-Royce. And this symbol of elegance and excellence was perfectly suited. The 1911 Rolls-Royce 40/50 hp automobile (Tourer designated the body type) was innovative in a variety of ways. One was the “Slipper Flywheel,” a device which took the form of a friction-disc clutch and flywheel mounted at the front of the crankshaft. The “Slipper Flywheel” became a standard component of Rolls-Royce motorcoaches from 1911 to the present day. Yet Rolls-Royce’s success was not based on innovation—the history of automobiles is filled with radical innovations that fell by the wayside. Instead, Rolls-Royce concentrated on details. Meticulous attention was paid to every aspect of construction: gears were cut to finer accuracy than anywhere in the world; more skilled workmen than in other factories were employed; and only the finest bodies from the finest coachbuilders were fitted onto the Rolls-Royce chassis. The result was an automobile that rode more smoothly with less trouble than any car of its time.
Now, the extraordinary 1911 Rolls-Royce Tourer is re-created in a remarkable die-cast replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. Accurate in every detail, from the sumptuous coach to the six-cylinder engine to the unmistakable “Spirit of Ecstasy” mascot on the hood, your 1911 Rolls-Royce Tourer is a handsome re-creation that captures the very spirit of this automobile which holds such a revered place in the annals of automotive history. Limited Edition of 2,500 worldwide
If the Chrysler 300 was a reckoning force on the track, you could not tell by its appearance, for it was a truly elegant automobile. With a broad, scowling front grille and long, sweeping tail fins, the 1957 300C was a particular favorite among automobile enthusiasts — lean and stylish. In 1958, Chrysler returned to the market with only minor changes to the already successful 300C and presented the 300D to the anxious public. Well-known mystery-adventure novelist and car collector Clive Cussler owned this exact car as part of a large collection of automobiles, which often featured prominently in his novels. For the first time ever, Chrysler offered fuel injection as an optional engine feature. Although many people did not check this option when it came time to order, the automotive press made notice of yet another advancement in the Chrysler line. Now, the 1958 Chrysler 300D Convertible "Beautiful Brute" is re-created in an authorized, precision-engineered 1:24 scale die-cast replica, crafted in authentic detail by Franklin Mint Precision Models. This model S/N 200/1500 Legendary for its bold and distinctive styling, the Cord 812 features technical innovations such as front wheel drive, retractable headlamps and of course, the supercharged V-8 engine. When Franklin Mint Precision Models first released this model, none other than Gordon Buehrig himself (the original designer) approved the master patterns and finished production pieces. Now, this exclusive Limited Edition die-cast replica honors this historic design in a strictly limited run of just 1,500 pieces worldwide.
It has been called one of the most influential cars in automotive history. The 1937 Cord 812 immediately turned heads, combining innovation with performance that was both exciting and proficient.
The Cord 812's history begins with the idea of designing a mid-range Duesenberg that would sell between the company's relatively affordable model and the exclusive Model J. Headed by chief designer Gordon M. Buehrig, the "baby Duesenberg" design never reached production because of an economic disaster in the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg triumvirate. After a few months, however, the Cord Corporation approved the construction of a similar model and Buehrig was given the opportunity of a lifetime - overall responsibility for the design of an innovative automobile.
The innovations on Buehrig's model are legendary. To enhance the interior room, a "step-down" passenger floor was designed. Concealed headlamps, that were raised and lowered by chrome-plate handcranks under the dash, predated similar features on future sports cars. It placed the horn on the steering wheel and put the handbrake under the dash. The hubcap, with the twelve cooling holes around its perimeter, covered the entire wheel. The Cord 812 was also available with a supercharged Lycoming engine that was capable of speeds up to 110 mph.
But of all the innovations, the Cord 812's front-wheel drive format was the most remarkable. It was one of the world's first cars with front-wheel drive to be mass produced.
However, it was looks more than innovation that made the Cord 812 a great automobile - hinges were concealed to give a streamlined look; running boards were scrapped as being too "old-fashioned." The long "alligator" hood with louvered grille and the aerodynamic "pontoon-type" fenders added to the impression that this was a car ahead of its time.
Throughout the world, the Cord is regarded as a landmark in automotive design. The New York Museum of Modern Art selected the Cord as one of the eight finest examples of industrial design and automotive art, an honor that reflects the Cord's impact on automotive history. Nineteen-seventy-one marked the first time in 17 years that a Dodge had been selected as the pace car at the Indianapolis 500®. Overall, it was the sixth time that a Chrysler-made automobile had been so honored.
The pace car tradition at Indy® dates back to the very first running of the Memorial Day event in 1911, when a Stoddard-Dayton Model 11-A did the honors. Sometimes referred to as the safety car, the pace car, as the name implies, sets the pace for the field under the yellow, or caution, flag. In the majority of instances, whenever the pace car is on the track, competitors must hold their positions, never passing the pace car or other drivers.
Typically, the selection of an Indy® pace car is announced to the public several weeks before the race. And typically, that is where the story ends, other than the manufacturers producing a series of replicas for sale to enthusiasts. But in 1971, the Challenger made history of a different sort to become, arguably, the most renowned pace car in the Brickyard’s® history.
Your Limited Edition, 1:24 scale model of the 1971 Dodge Challenger Indy 500® Pace Car matches every detail of the original. Hand-painted a bright "HEMI Orange," this superb model sets the pace for accuracy and engineering excellence. Hand-painted and hand-finished to a brilliant showroom luster, your model is fitted with a special Limited Edition plate hand-signed by Raffi Minasian. Included with purchase, the in-depth story behind the "real" car. Working features include operable steering, functional suspension and a hood that opens to reveal the mythically potent 427cid V-8 engine.
Automotive privateer Vic Lambandi began working on cars shortly after high school graduation, developing hop-up kits for the hot rod market, including the "Vic Force" intake manifold and "Vic-Fire" exhaust systems. Between 1949 and 1955, Lamba Engineering developed race engines and race cars. The most successful, the "Lamba Samba," broke four speed records at Bonneville.
In 1955, a tragic shop fire killed two of Vic's childhood friends, driver and chief mechanic Dan and Dave Baker. The assets of Lamba Engineering were a total loss, including the molds and prototype for a roadster, the Lambandi Mark I. Vic was financially and personally devastated. Slowly, Vic regained his confidence taking a job in the R&D division of Douglas Aircraft. His technical achievements in lightweight aluminum structures were significant, but the real magic was happening in Vic"s garage. On February 28, 1962 Vic tested a half scale Hypersonic Injection system, producing astonishing horsepower and fuel efficiency. Armed with newfound confidence Vic enlisted his old pals from Lamba Engineering; Dick Donnelly - chief engineer, Bill Miller - Machinist, and Ken Mann - Lawyer. They were back in business.
Hypersonic Injection was not new, but no one had been able to obtain continuous horsepower gain, due primarily to heat problems. Vic's "Hyperjection," as it would become known, could manage intense heat via helical gears. Vic called them "Gearicols." Ken Mann secured the patent for Gearicols and it remains today one of the most innovative engine systems for fuel delivery. Royalty income from Gearicol and Hyperjection systems enabled Vic to leave his job and devote full-time energy to the Lambandi Mark II.
By now, sports cars were the new craze. Vic was determined to find a suitable donor to test Hyperjection but attempts to purchase a chassis proved frustrating. Miller and Donnelly urged Vic to let them build their own frame. Finally, Donnelly took matters into his own hands and secretly began work. Miller assisted with machined parts and kept Vic distracted. Two weeks later, Vic engaged recent Art Center School graduate Tom Keller to design the body for the Mark II.
Initial tests of the Hyperjected engines proved to be challenging, but eventually a Ford 427 engine was tested with results ranging from 570 to 630 hp. Unofficially, the Mark II ran the quarter mile at 11.9 with 0-60 time of 4 seconds. Six Mark IIs were built in 1965 and 1966 - Vic's prototype, three production-based sports cars, one race-prepped roadster and one race-prepped Coupe (dubbed "The Sonic"). Donnelly still owns his red roadster and Miller sold his black roadster in 1979 to help finance his own car project. Vic raced the coupe and roadster in regional events until 1967, when Hyperjection was outlawed on the sports car circuit. Vic went on to build Mark III and IV prototypes in 1968 and 1970, but retired in 1985 and spent his remaining years devoted to his second passion, breeding Arabian horses. Vic Lambandi died in 2001 at his horse ranch in the Santa Monica mountains. His wife and two daughters maintain the ranch largely on income from renewed patents and royalties.

Task Force Trucks. That’s how the second series of trucks from Chevrolet were introduced when they were introduced on March 25, 1955. Among the new offerings in the series was the sporty Cameo™ Pickup— a vehicle with truck toughness and passenger car amenities and one which would be integral in introducing the classic pickup truck to an ever-increasing American suburbia.
In general, the new series of 1955 trucks offered a sturdy-looking design: square lines and rounded corners. All cab models had a wrap-around panoramic windshield and each model was enhanced with new 12-volt electrical systems, tubeless tires and V-8 engines. It was the Cameo™ Pickup, however, that took the sturdy 1955 truck design and incorporated the styling of automobiles to create a styling trend that continues today.
Chevrolet engineers had dubbed the new vehicle “the suburbanite pickup,” yet to the public it was popularly called the Cameo™. It was a half-ton, high-stylized pickup in the Chevrolet 3100 series and was given fiberglass “skins” over the cargo box to give the rear sections a contemporary look. The Cameo™ initially came only in Bombay Ivory with Commercial Red trim, featured lots of chrome and had red interior trim. But in 1956, the Cameo™ model was offered in eight two-tone combinations. It still had hooded headlights, forward-slanting pillars on the wrap-around windshield, vertical taillights and a cleverly concealed spare tire that was accessed by pulling down the license-plate panel. Other changes in the 1956 model year were the position of side chrome extensions, and V-8-equipped trucks had a chromed V incorporated into the bow-tie emblem.
Perhaps more important than its popularity was the crucial role that Cameo™ played in the development of pickup truck design. For its smooth-sided box and integrated fenders created a look that influenced engineers and designers for years to come—a look that today is a favorite among knowledgeable collectors and automobile enthusiasts everywhere.
Now, the historic 1956 Chevrolet® Cameo™ Pickup Truck is re-created in an authorized, precision- engineered 1:24 scale replica, crafted in authentic detail by Franklin Mint Precision Models. From the panoramic windshield to the concealed spare tire…from the wooden cargo bed to the powerful V-8 engine...your precision die-cast model is crafted in meticulous and authentic detail. In 1967, the first Camaro® was born. This landmark year also introduced the first Camaro® powered with the famed Z/28® engine option which launched Camaro® to numerous first-place SCCA victories, even winning its first Trans Am appearance at Marlboro.
We have captured the essence of this Muscle Car monument with our first 1967 Chevrolet® Camaro® Z/28® RS® hardtop die-cast replica. Every significant detail has been faithfully reproduced, from the unmistakable pony-style body lines right down to the working headlight doors and 800 cfm Holley Carburetor.
In the mid-1960s, Ford and Chrysler "pony"-style cars were dominating the performance car market and the SCCA Trans-Am racing circuit. Additionally, cars like the Mustang and Barracuda were capturing the attention of both weekend racers and hot-rodders alike. GM needed something with a light curb weight and enough horsepower to grab its share of the "pony car" market and compete in the Trans-Am racing circuit. They answered with the 1967 Camaro®. The birth of the Camaro® was a landmark in Muscle Car history. From its low, aggressive profile to the high-performance engine options, this pony would ride straight into the hearts of sports car fans for decades to come.
Vince Piggins, Chevrolet’s® Product Promotion Manager, convinced GM to combine parts from the 283 cubic inch engine with the 327 small block and a solid lifter cam with a 4-inch bore, creating a 302.3 displacement engine just under the 305 cubic inch SCCA race requirement....and the Z28® option was born.
The engine was rated 290hp. Many claimed the rating misleading, placing actual hp closer to 400! To this day, the discrepancy remains a point of contention. But one thing is certain...the Z28® packed enough punch to consume the quarter-mile in less than 15 seconds. The Z28® won its first Trans-Am race at Marlboro, Maryland, getting the checkered flag ahead of Mustang, 'Cuda and Javelin, and continued to be a winner for years to come.
Now, this automotive icon of the Sixties is yours in a 1:24 scale model as awesome as the original. From the impressive power plant under the hood to the classic striped detailing and Bolero Red paint scheme, your 1967 Chevrolet® Camaro Z/28® RS® is a precision-engineered classic that will be admired for many years to come. One of the characteristics of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles that appeals so much to riders is the ability to combine the best of Harley-Davidson tradition with the newest design innovations. In other words, Harley-Davidson® motorcycles are built with respect and understanding of the past and a dedication to tomorrow's technology and engineering.
An example of this philosophy is the Harley-Davidson® FLHRCI™ Road King® Classic. The ultimate cruiser, the Road King® emulates the style of its predecessors and sets the standard for its heirs. The cruiser is powered by the huge Twin Cam 88™ engine, which rides in elastomer isolation mounts that eliminate vibrations. Before Harley-Davidson introduced the Twin Cam 88™ to the public, it tested the engine on over two-and-a-half million miles of road. And the judgment was that the Twin Cam 88™ offered a quieter, smoother ride while providing high performance and maneuverability. This comfort is further enhanced by an anti-dive fork and air-adjustable suspension.
Yet it is not only the new engine that separates the Road King® Classic from other cruisers. The all-out style of the Road King® is truly "Classic." Gorgeous saddlebags are made by stretching durable plastic over hard-shell compartments, enhancing both accessibility and durability. The tooled design of the saddlebag is repeated on the custom seat. Enhancing the stylish black-and-chrome color scheme of the engine is a range of eight available finishes, including four two-tone finishes. A custom 3D metal emblem was also designed especially for the Road King® Classic and appears on the fender tip, tank and seat valance. The laced wheels add to the overall style.
With dual exhausts, a wheelbase of 63.5 inches and overall length of 93.7 inches, commodious saddlebags and unparalleled power and comfort, the Road King® Classic truly defines the modern touring bike, offering bikers a ride they'll never forget.
Now, in honor of the future of touring motorcycles, comes a precision-engineered replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. It may be remembered as Ford's $25 million fiasco, but today nearly everyone wishes they owned a '58 Edsel. Now, you can - in the form of a precision-engineered re-creation of one of the most famous icons of the Fifties! Assembled by hand from over 100 separate parts, it captures every distinctive detail - from the famous horse-collar grille and elongated taillights, to the pushbutton gear selector mounted to the steering wheel hub. Working features include operable steering, functional suspension, and a hood that lifts to reveal the fully detailed 410 cid V-8 engine. Own a piece of automotive history.
Today, the Edsel has attained cult status in the annals of American automotive history, and before it had appeared, the 1958 Edsel was perhaps the most eagerly anticipated car in the 1950s. Indeed, the Edsel was the first new nameplate that the Ford Motor Company had introduced in the twenty years since the 1938 Mercury debuted. But it was produced only until 1960, with sales dropping an incredible 89% in that brief time.
The Edsel's design was certainly unique. The vertical front grille and gullwing taillights were unlike anything then on the road. The gear selector was also unusual - a push button box placed into the hub of the steering wheel. The idea behind this design and the entire instrument assembly was to give the driver easy access to the controls.
In addition to the unusual styling, the Edsel was introduced at a time when American auto sales were faltering. In 1954, when the car was first conceived, Americans were buying automobiles in record numbers. But by 1958, a recession had set in and sales, particularly of mid-priced cars like the Edsel, dropped considerably. At a time when established makes were struggling, the chances for success of a new car relatively untested by the public were slim.
Those who did take a chance with the Edsel could choose four models: the Corsair and the Citation, which had a 345-horsepower V8 engine and shared body parts with the Mercury, and the Ranger and the Pacer which had a 303-horsepower V8 engine and shared body parts with the Ford.
Today, the Edsel is coveted by collectors, restored and entered in auto shows around the country, and greatly valued - no doubt for its infamous role in American automotive history. Now, the 1958 Edsel Citation has been re-created by the craftsmen at Franklin Mint Precision Models in a 1:24 scale precision-engineered model. Authentically researched and meticulously crafted, the 1958 Edsel Citation captures every detail of the original, from the unusual front grille to the 410 cubic inch V8 engine. Own a classic from the Golden Age of Automobiles. Wow, What a Duesy! The most luxurious Duesenberg ever, the world knew it as the 20 Grand. For in 1933, it had the bold price tag of $20,000—far beyond the reach of the millions who first saw it at the Chicago World’s Fair. Today, its value would be in the millions. Now, the most elegant Duesy ever can be yours—in the form of this sensational die-cast replica.
Handcrafted with 148 separate parts, it’s authentic to the smallest detail—from the famed Duesy hood ornament to the genuine instrument panels with full array of switches, gauges and levers. Painted a posh champagne silver, it’s a certified classic, just like the original.
The year is 1933. In Chicago, crowds gather at the Century of Progress Exposition, a World's Fair unlike any other. There, the future is presented to a nation weary of its depression and finding relief in the presentation of better times to come. As visitors flock to the Travel and Transportation Building, they are mesmerized by the stunning 1933 Duesenberg SJ. This motor car is not only the most luxurious Duesenberg ever built, it is also the most expensive. And its price would also become the motor car's namesake—the Duesenberg "Twenty Grand".
Built expressly for the World’s Fair in Chicago, the "Twenty Grand" would steal the show as millions shared in the aura of grandeur and wealth that surrounded such a car. Even the colour, described as metallic platinum, suggested the sterling quality of such a machine, and perhaps indirectly, pointed toward a silver lining on the black cloud of the Depression.
Chief designer, Gordon Buehrig, designed the "Twenty Grand:, adapting several of the earlier coach styles, and the noted coach-builder Rollston Body Company, made the design a reality. With polished stainless steel tubing covering the exposed exhaust pipes, and an aerodynamically slanted windscreen, the luxurious "Twenty Grand" exuded a feeling of speed, as well as grandeur. Its long and sleek lines, uninterrupted by superfluous extravagance, elegantly belied the power that lay under the bonnet—a 320-horsepower supercharged engine that was claimed to have pushed the machine to speeds as high as 130 miles per hour.
The power and elegance that were revealed by the exterior were complemented by the sumptuousness of the interior. The "armchair" type seats were upholstered in broadcloth bounded with silver patent leather. Instrument panels, in the front and back seats, were panelled in two-tone burl walnut with silver inlay.
Only one was ever built. And perhaps a car as unparalleled as the 1933 Duesenberg SJ "Twenty Grand" should be alone in its class. Today it is part of the Merle Norman Beauty Collection in the San Sylmar Museum where it is on exhibition.
The Duesenberg name connoted quality and style. The 1933 Duesenberg SJ connoted more than that—it was a machine of dreams, of fantasies, of "Twenty Grand". A bold statement of luxury and grand touring, this custom-bodied Duesenberg was the hit of the Paris Salon when it first appeared in 1932. Often the car of choice among the Hollywood elite, Duesenbergs represented the finest in American cars. Trimmed with high-contrasting ivory interior against royal metallic luster red paint, this stunning Duesenberg is the pinnacle of automotive art and fashion.
As with all great cars, there are always great stories. For Duesenberg, there are not only great stories but personalities associated with one of the finest automobiles of the 20th century. These stories remind us of the magnificence of the designers, builders and patrons of these fine cars.
In 1932, all of France was stunned as the special-bodied Fernandez and Darrin Duesenberg appeared at the Paris Salon. Fernandez had been a well-known coachbuilder with European designs to his credit, and Howard "Dutch" Darrin had made significant inroads in both U.S. and European markets with his firm, Hibbard and Darrin. In 1931, Darrin dissolved his partnership with Hibbard and began working with Fernandez. One of their first major European contributions to the world of coachbuilt automobiles was built on a stunning, long-wheelbase 1932 Duesenberg Model J chassis.
Resplendent in metallic red with contrasting ivory interior trim and featuring an elegant three-position landau roof, this Duesenberg would later be made in two (perhaps three) otherconfigurations from 1932 through 1933. At some point in the history of these rare cars, a two-toned blue and black car became attributed to movie star Greta Garbo. Although she persisted in denying this, the legend of the Garbo Duesenberg continued as part of the mystique of this illusive actress. Some speculated that her denial of the car was due in part to not wanting to be recognized as she was driven in it. The Garbo mystery could very well be due in part to her friendship with French film star Suzy Vernon, who owned and was pictured many times with the blue and black Model J Duesenberg known as the "Garbo." Some speculate that this is how the legend began.
Today, both cars are regarded as some of the finest coachbuilt cars ever built upon a Duesenberg chassis. The original Paris Salon car has been fully restored to original condition and is currently in a private collection. The Franklin Mint is proud to present the original Paris Salon 1933 Duesenberg Model J Victoria with coachwork by Fernandez and Darrin just as it appeared in 1932 in its original paint and trim scheme. For it was on that date that the first useable car in the world - Karl Benz’s Patent Motorcar - was given its first public outing. No one could really know at the time that the simple carriage, achieving speeds of 12 kph, was a beginning of a new era in human history - the automobile age.
Benz’s first car had a four-stroke single-cylinder engine which displaced 990ccs. The engine was mounted horizontally on the vehicle which in many ways was a unique blend of a horse carriage and a three-wheeled bicycle. Producing 0.9 horsepower, the engine drove wire spoked wheels through Benz's innovative array of differential gears, belts and chains.
Benz’s automobile included innovations that are still used today on over 400 million automobiles. It had electric ignition, a water-cooled engine and a quite modern differential gear. The custom-made body included a two passenger seat and rack-and pinion steering operated by a "tiller." The automobile had no foot brakes and was stopped by a handbrake applied to the drive mechanism. With an advanced differential drive train, no reverse gear, and a belt clutch, the vehicle was able to reach a maximum speed of 16 to 18 kph.
When Benz’s "horseless carriage" appeared at the World's Columbian Exposition in Chicago in 1893, it ignited the imagination of the public, and triggered the beginning of the automobile industry. The Benz Patent Motorcar was more than just another invention in the pantheon of man's technology. It was the one invention that opened up the world - that brought everyone and everything just a little bit closer. Specifikationer Skala: 1:8 | |

A sensational collectible depicting the last of the street Cobras. Carroll Shelby pushed American racing to the limits back in the '50s and '60s, and created what many consider the greatest contribution to the world of speed: The Cobra®, a trail-blazing combination of ultra-lightweight aluminum and flashy Euro styling with a brawny American V-8 engine. Give yourself the opportunity to demonstrate your passion for speed with a spectacular 1:24 scale, precision model of the "street legal" version of the Cobra® -- the 427 S/C™. It's crafted in unpainted aluminum, just like Shelby's® own. And you'll find true-to-life details, like doors, hood and trunk that open and close. Steering wheel that turns the front wheels. Authentic materials used in the seats, like real leather upholstery. A highly detailed engine -- accurate down to the spark plug wires. Even the tread on the tires perfectly matches the original!
Generally, you have to choose between joy and power. But when Carroll Shelby introduced the world to the Cobra 427 S/C lightweight roadster in the early 1960's, power and joy turned out to be two sides of the same coin. For the true roadster aficionado, nothing has ever been built to compare to the Cobra. Even to this day, the Shelby® Cobra stands out. This limited production sports car deserves its designation as an automotive classic because it demands your full attention. It looks great; it sounds mean; and it drives like a demon. In fact, it may well be the most powerful, the most attractive, and the most thrilling front-engine roadster ever manufactured for sale to the public.
The Shelby® Cobra was born in a flash of insight, became cloaked in clouds of controversy, and remains enshrouded in layers of mystery. To understand the Cobra mystique, you must first start with its creator.
Carroll Shelby was a Texan who flew planes, raced cars, and brokered some great automotive ideas. Cobra production began in 1962 and ended in 1967. At first, this thinly disguised road racer featured a 260 V-8 engine (soon expanded to a 289 V-8) inside its sleek European-style body. Shelby® produced 630 of this model. Then, in 1965, this beautiful beast got even more power when the 427 cid V-8 racing engine was added. At some point in production, the 427 was replaced with the 428 Police Interceptor engine: 348 were 427’s and 26 of these were designated S/C for street competition. The S/C was the ultimate Cobra.

The Mustang legend lives! Harness the power of this all-new performance-built thoroughbred with a sizzling scale replica of the first mainstream Mustang to break into the 300 hp arena. Exact in every detail, right down to the legendary badge and tri-bar tail lamps. The legacy of Mustang continues. Marvel at the precisely detailed engine and fully loaded interior.
Ford Motor Company had ambitious plans for the 2005 model year. This year the company launched its broadest lineup of new cars in decades and perhaps even more significantly, its new Mustang. Americans had been in love with the Mustang for 41 years now and the retro version Mustang was eagerly awaited. Although almost all new, the styling was a reprise of the original short deck-long hood combination that started the Pony Car craze of the mid 'sixties. Here was the bodyside scoop, from the '65, the dashboard reminiscent of the 1967, the greenhouse shape from the 1968, and the nose from 1969. In short, the objective was to "...bring back everything that was right about the best Mustangs..." as stated by J Mays, Ford's Group Vice President of Design.
The rear-quarter glass was a retro cue that also satisfied a modern functional necessity. The original single side window of the 1967-68 fastbacks looked snazzy but created a long, solid sail panel that shut out light to the rear seat and blocked driver vision. The triangular windows on the 2005 solved those problems while recalling the design of the iconic '66 Shelby® GT 350. Underneath, the new Mustang had its own platform, for the first time not sharing one with an existing Ford product.
The new S197, a purpose-built muscle car chassis, was new from the ground up. 2005 also introduced a redesigned suspension, revised power train, state of the art ergonomics and modern safety features. Now it can truly be said that the legacy of the Mustang will continue into the next century. Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to present the 2005 Ford Mustang GT, an authentic, fully detailed die-cast model.

Carroll Shelby's Ultimate Muscle Car - Yours in a Special Limited Edition
Only one Supersnake® remains in existence, and in 2007 it was auctioned off at a dizzying $5.5 million! Now, the rarest of the rare can be yours for much, much less - in a precision-engineered classic as awesome as the real thing. Built by hand from more than 150 separate components, this superb model is crafted with the same passion as the legendary Carroll Shelby® devoted to the original. Every detail is authentic, down to the side-mounted exhausts and the precise re-creation of the powerful Shelby Cobra 427 S/C® engine under the hood. We've even duplicated the world-famous Cobra logo on the hood. Packed with realistic working features, painted and polished by hand, it's ready to roar its way into your collection now!
The 1966 Shelby® Cobra 427 SuperSnake® is without a doubt the "Cobra to End All Cobras," as it was described by Road and Track magazine in 1968. Earning the title of "SUPERSNAKE®" after being transformed by Carroll Shelby™ into his own personal dream Cobra. To the already legendary Competition 427 Big Block he added twin Paxton Superchargers, raising the horsepower to 800. He joined this power plant to a Super 3-speed automatic transmission. Skinned with its European-styled, lightweight aluminum Competition body, this Cobra was truly the ultimate Muscle Car.
Its history is equally as impressive. CSX 3015 started out as full Competition roadsters without bumpers, mufflers or a windshield, built strictly for the European racing circuit, not public roads. Sometime in early to mid-1967, CSX 3015 was transformed into the SuperSnake® and reclassified as a street-legal 427 Cobra S/C™ (Semi-Competition), while retaining the heart of a full race machine.
History shows CSX 3015 to be one of only two SuperSnakes® ever built. The other, CSX 3303, was destroyed when its owner committed suicide by driving the car into the Pacific Ocean, leaving CSX 3015 the only surviving authentic Shelby® SuperSnake®. On January 20th, 2007, CSX 3015 made history again when it sold at Barrett Jackson for a record-breaking 5 million dollars, making this classic one of the most coveted automotive icons ever.
Now, the 1966 Shelby® Cobra 427 SuperSnake® is re-created in an extraordinary precision-engineered replica from Franklin Mint Precision Models. Authentic in every detail, the 1966 Shelby® Cobra 427 SuperSnake® Limited Edition is a die-cast model you will treasure for many years to come. Limited Edition of 5,000 worldwide.
We all have our dream cars. The legendary Carroll Shelby® is no exception. Back in the late Sixties, he made his dream come true by taking his blatantly awesome CSX 3015 competition roadster - built for the European racing circuit - and increasing its already formidable power with the addition of twin Paxton Superchargers, boosting the horsepower to a near-mythic 800.
He didn't stop there. The fitting of a lightweight competition body with decidedly European flair infused alluring beauty to the ferocious beast under the hood. With the further addition of bumpers, mufflers and a windshield, Shelby's® magus opus was classified as a street-legal 427 Cobra S/C® (S/C for Semi-Competition). Only two were ever built, and only one remains selling at auction for a nifty $5,500,000!
This is the car re-created for you now by the engineers of Franklin Mint Precision Models. And like the actual Supersnake®, it's a study in pure power and styling that will bring a touch of excitement to any collection.

It's as if the word icon was coined expressly for the Ford Model T. The car that put America on wheels cuts a new path through history--in the form of a spectacular precision model. It’s loaded with true-to-life detail. The seats are upholstered with real leather; the dash and firewall are adorned in wood veneer. As a final touch, the radiator frame and cap, wheel hubs, headlights and lamps bear the look of burnished brass.
By 1908, the American landscape had changed. Slowly but steadily, horse-drawn carriages and wagons made way for another kind of horse-powered vehicle, as more and more automobiles appeared on the nation's roads. By that same year, some 140,000 automobiles had been registered in the U.S. There was no denying that the U.S. was on the move. The only thing lacking: a motorcar the average American could afford.
Enter Henry Ford, the visionary whose Model T, or Tin Lizzie as it would eventually be called, changed things forever.
In a production run lasting between 1908 and 1927, more than 15 million Model Ts were produced. In the inaugural year of 1908, customers could choose models painted red, gray or green. By the following year, blue had been added to the Model T spectrum. The bulk of the historic Model Ts appeared after 1913, for that was the year Ford introduced the moving assembly line. In order to save valuable time in his quest to produce as many Model Ts as possible, Ford determined that each car be painted the same color: black. However, it has been estimated that more than 30 different types of black paint were used for the myriad number of parts that went into the assembly of a Model T. Moreover, black was a more economical choice, enabling Ford to keep the price of each model within reach of the average wage earner.
With the introduction of the famous Ford assembly line, every Model T was exactly the same, even down to that basic black color. But perhaps a bit of Henry Ford's feisty spirit lived in each of his Flivvers, as they were sometimes called. For all its dependable ways, its simplicity and superiority, the Model T had a certain whimsy, an unpredictable side that often confounded its owner. Yet in this respect, the car was almost human and people tended to deal with its temperamental ways with a sort of cherished affection.
Initially, use of the Model T was restricted to pleasure driving. Sunday trips for places 25 miles distant could now be planned without buying train tickets for the whole family. Relatives could stay in touch. A fair or concert out of town was within reach. In this way, the dependable little Model T did more than offer basic transportation. It opened up horizons and forever changed the way Americans lived. Limited Edition of 1,500

Calling all Cars. Calling all Cars.
Your ticket to police excitement can be heard through the roar of the siren as this 1933 Ford Tudor police car races through Chicago in pursuit of mob bosses and scofflaws. Feel the gangster danger, the ratt-a-tatt of the Tommy Gun and the sound of victory as the long arm of the law prevails and calm is restored. Your 1933 Ford Tudor police car comes complete with a loaded service trailer with period-correct accessories and vintage signage.
In the 1930s, the police had a formidable job. Due in part to Prohibition, organized crime was rampant in many U.S. cities. Chicago was the home or operating base for much of this illegal activity. The Chicago police had to contend with the mob syndicate and infamous personalities like Al Capone and John Dillinger, who operated illegal liquor stills and breweries. Daily bank robberies were not unusual.
Police raids were commonplace and many times the mob was better armed than the good guys. One key element toward the success of the police back then - and today - was their vehicles. The police had to "fight fire with fire." They needed a chase car that was, at the very least, as fast and reliable as the mobsters' cars. Since the 1933 Ford Deluxe V-8 was the get-away car of choice for many crime bosses, law enforcement incorporated the same vehicle into their stable. Among the fans of the Ford was 1933 "Public Enemy Number One," John Dillinger. He once wrote Henry Ford an unsolicited testimonial, praising the performance and styling of his own "hot" '33 Deluxe. As such, there was no better police chase vehicle than the 1933 Ford Deluxe V-8. The thick steel on the doors served to slow the barrage of bullets from ensuing machine gun battles, the 221 cubic inch V-8 engine with aluminum heads gave the needed horsepower to carry reinforcements and ammunition to the scene. With a top speed of 78 mph, the ’33 Ford Deluxe V-8 police cars leveled the playing field.
The Franklin Mint is pleased to offer this 1:24 scale die-cast tribute to the law enforcement vehicle of times past. Our Chicago "mob squad" automobile comes fully equipped to handle the most ruthless of gangsters and mob bosses. We offer this faithful re-creation, fit for a hero. Proudly display the "spinning propeller" style grille and fully detailed 239 V-8 engine.

In 1968, Ford continued with the restyled, larger and heavier, higher Mustang platform that was introduced in the previous model year. With the horsepower war raging, Ford was forced to up the ante, using its existing big blocks in the new ’67 — ’68 offering. To accommodate the dimensionally larger engine, the body had to be widened 21/2 inches, resulting in a 2" wider front and rear track. This not only gave the car more sure-footed handling, but added to its already menacing stance.
For the ’68 model year, Mustang received a mild facelift. The most notable change was the deletion of the ’67 simulated vents in front of the rear wheels, replaced with a cleaner-looking vertical chrome trim bar integrated into the side C-scoop. Adding the sleek, profiled fastback body option made for the perfect blend of aggressive and elegant design. The 390 engine would be basically the same as ’67 with a new name, GT390, and a token 5 additional horsepower. While some pony car enthusiasts complained about the larger chassis and body, Ford answered the nay-sayers with higher ’68 Mustang production numbers than comparable ponies like Camaro, GTO and Barracuda.
The Franklin Mint is proud to offer its 1:24 scale tribute to the 1968 Mustang GT Fastback — with all the unique features of the original, including a fully detailed GT390 engine and sizzling Sixties-style interior. Worldwide Limited Edition of 1,500 SpecifikationerSkala: 1:24 Längd: 19,7 cm

Artikelnummer: B11ZB80 1562:- Skickas omgående 1957 Corvette Fuelie - Fiberglass Edition, the Franklin Mint
The only '57 Vette model with genuine fiberglass body! It's just like the real thing! And you'll enjoy its many operable features--like removing the convertible top, opening the center console and engaging the fully functional suspension system. It took more than 275 separate components to get everything right including the twin exhaust pipes, real rubber tires and 283 Cid engine. The hand-painted scorching red body is complemented by a shoreline beige interior.
Weighing only 2,880 pounds, the 1957 Corvette® "Fuelie" was not the first car to be built with a fiberglass body, but it was the first to come from one of the big automobile makers. Perhaps this fiberglass flier’s biggest claim to fame was the fact that it introduced one of General Motors® Corporation’s most revered engines--the 283 cubic inch V-8. When General Motors® modified this power plant with fuel injection, the engine produced an unprecedented 283 horsepower--capable of going from 0-60 mph in under six seconds. Additionally, it was the first car to combine fuel injection with a 4-speed manual gearbox.
Aside from the lightweight design and mind-boggling performance capabilities, the 1957 Corvette® was one of the most handsome automobiles ever built. From its wrap-around windshield to its two-toned paint job, this remarkable roadster was a major milestone in the development of the Corvette® legacy. This Franklin Mint Precision Model is an authentic tribute to the vision, power and appeal of Corvette® design and technology. | Artikelnummer: B11E425 1699:- -20% (2124:-) Skickas omgående 2006 Corvette Z06 Indy 500 Pace Car - Limited Edition The Franklin Mint
The red, white and blue Z06 that led the pack at the Indy 500® proved why Corvette® has been honored as the Indy 500® Pace Car eight times by 2006! Now the icon can be yours in this 1:24 scale re-creation that captures every awesome detail of the actual Vette®.
The automobile chosen to pace the prestigious Indianapolis 500® race has always been considered the best that automotive technology can offer. In 2006 a Chevy® paced the race, for a record 17th time. For the 2006 running the Chevrolet® in question was the Z06 Corvette®, and it's the eighth time for a Corvette® to be leading the pack The fabulous Z06 was based on the C6.R Corvette® racer that won the 24 Hours of Le Mans four out of the previous five years.
The 2006 Corvette® Z06 Pace car is virtually identical to the models available to the public. The production Corvette® is so racing-ready that it can handle the rigors of pacing with very few additions necessary. In fact, the only changes made to prepare it for pacing were the addition of strobe lights and racing safety gear. The Z06 with its 505 horsepower is capable of 198 mph and a 0-60 mph time of 3.7 seconds. It has sophisticated aerodynamics, a suspension that can handle 1.01 Gs in for cornering and large 18-inch front and 19-inch rear wheels that are a foot wide in the rear.
Pace cars are expected to endure strenuous use. For example, during the last four Indy 500® races, the Chevy® pace vehicles led the field for a combined 186 laps of the total 800 laps driven. That's 2,000 miles! It's no wonder that the high performance 2006 Corvette® Z06 was eminently suitable for pace car duties. For the 2006 race the Pace car featured a patriotic red, white and blue theme. Graphics included an abstract U.S. flag pattern with "Victory Red" and "Cobalt Blue" ribbons flowing across the car with white stars flanking each side. The Americana graphics were more than appropriate for this most famous of high performance American cars.

The only thing better than owning a Vette®? How 'bout having one that doesn't look like the other guy’s. One that will turn heads and have lookers straining to catch another glimpse. That's the concept behind the GM® Genuine Corvette® Accessories (GCA) program--offering a tricked-out custom look with factory accessories that are perfectly integrated to give each Vette its own identity.
This torrid precision model re-creates an '08 Z06™, accurate down to every detail of the powerful LS7 engine, detailed undercarriage and fully appointed interior. GCA personalization includes custom silver-and-victory-red stripe hood treatment, competition gray wheels, metal grille screens and special engine décor.
The engineering excellence of the C6 Corvette® Z06™ is a direct result of racing victories of the Corvette® C5-R that won every race in the 2004 season--the most successful string of wins in the 50-year racing history of Corvette®.
In 2008, the Z06™ maintained 505 horsepower and delivered a 0-60 time of less than 4 seconds. Responsible for this was the LS7 engine, first introduced in 2006 with the largest displacement small block ever produced by GM. Inside, the lightweight components, including titanium, assist in getting the power to the pavement without adding excessive weight.
The body, too, has a unique aluminum structure for optimum rigidity and light weight for the fixed-roof style. A wide front with forward-facing grille opening and splitter along the sides provides aerodynamic down-force. In fact, the aerodynamics of the Z06™'s shape was specifically derived from the CR-5 racing program. In the cockpit, the gauge cluster displays the Z06™ logo and the new three-spoke steering wheel has a smaller diameter, providing better handling and "road feel."
Now, this ultra high-performance icon has been faithfully reproduced as a die-cast model with every detail intact and GCA personalized in black and silver with competition gray wheels, real metal grille screens around and special engine decor. The 2008 GCA Corvette® Z06™ would be the flagship in any serious Corvette® enthusiast’s model collection. Limited Edition of 2,008 worldwide.

Our most technologically advanced 1:24 scale Vette ever! Just when Corvette® lovers thought things could not get any better, along came the '65 Sting Ray™. Out were the hood vents of earlier models. In were three functioning front-fender louvers for increased airflow. Gone were the rear drum brakes of previous years, replaced by the smoother, easier four-wheel disc variety.
But the most significant change of all... the introduction of the thoroughly awesome 396 Turbo Jet engine – first of the factory-built Big Blocks to power a Corvette® - equally at home on the track as on the street, to the degree that many who owned one drove their pride-and-joy "a quarter mile at a time!"
Here's your invitation to join the "Big Block" party by ordering the definitive precision re-creation of the one-and-only Corvette® ever to sport the powerful 396 Turbo Jet Big Block engine. Assembled entirely by hand, this spectacular model matches the original, detail for scorching detail. The "bulge hood," flip-up headlights and fully appointed interior... every distinctive feature re-created to an unprecedented degree of accuracy by the engineers of Franklin Mint Precision Models. And, of course, there's the unparalleled re-creation of the Turbo Jet engine under the hood, accurate right down to the air cleaner assembly that can actually be removed to view the carburetor and engine block.
Just like the actual auto, this sensational model features a body of real fiberglass, hand-painted a torrid Rally Red. A must for your Corvette® collection!
In order to re-create the torrid '65 Vette, our engineers developed all-new tooling, thereby making it a completely new and individual model unlike any other ever produced. Here is our most technologically advanced Corvette® model to date, packed with details that place this model in a league all it's own.
Additional working features include functional suspension, operable steering, hinged fuel cap and detachable jack compartment door, a fully appointed interior, flip-up headlights, tread patterns that match original, a fully detailed carburetor, and an exhaust system that appears in perfect clarity as part of the detailed undercarriage.
The 1965 Corvette® was in many ways the alpha omega of Corvettes®. 1965 introduced the first GM® factory big block option for any Corvette®. The powerful 396 Turbo Jet engine delivered 425 hp and 415 foot-pounds of torque. This was a quantum leap from previous years, with 375 hp the highest option offered in 1964. With this new factory muscle under the hood, the '65 Corvette® was just as much at home on the track as the street. In fact, most who purchased this option drove their Corvettes®... a quarter mile at a time! The 1965 Corvette® was also the first year to offer the new "bulge hood," designed for the big block option, and the first Corvette® to have side exhaust pipes and a power radio antenna. The 1965 model year was also the omega Corvette®. It was the last "fuelie" Corvette®. While customers could choose a carbureted model, fuel injection for Corvettes® would vanish until new throttle body injection was introduced in 1982. 1965 was also the last year for rear drum brakes; all Corvettes® would now be offered with four-wheel disc brakes as standard equipment.
The 1965 Corvette® is also the "one and only"... The only model year Corvette® to sport the 396 Turbo Jet, it would be replaced with a bigger big block in 1966, never again to be found under the hood of any other factory Corvette® built. This fact alone makes 1965 a benchmark year for Corvette® and makes it a true classic. With limited production numbers, only a very fortunate few can own the real deal. But you better hurry, as these models are strictly limited to just 5,000 each, worldwide.
The 2008 Indianapolis 500® was a unique and landmark year in Corvette® Pace Car history. This would be the 10th – and 5th consecutive – time that a Corvette® was used to pace this nostalgic event. No other car can lay claim to those attainments. 2008 also marked the 30th anniversary since the first Corvette® was used as a Pace Car in 1978. Additionally, this year would be the first time in Pace Car history that more than one car was used to start the race.
The 2008 Corvette® LS3 convertible would be one of the three Corvettes® selected to lead the 33 cars and drivers of the 92nd Indy 500® across the “Yard of Bricks.” To commemorate this 30th anniversary, the '08 LS3 convertible would be painted in basic black over silver checker-flag cove graphics and traditional Indianapolis 500® badges, reminiscent of its 1978 predecessor. However, appearance is where the similarities would end. Performance-wise, this car would literally be miles ahead of the first Corvette® Pace Car, with nearly twice the horsepower of the L82 and suspension and handling technology that was not even dreamed of in 1978. Additionally, the LS3 convertible was equipped with a 6-speed, clutchless paddle shift automatic-mode transmission. To add further distinction, the track car and limited edition replica cars that would be sold to the public would each be signed by two-time Indy 500® winner and world champion, Emerson Fittipaldi.

In 2007 Corvette® marked a record 9th time that America's sports car had been honored with pace car laurels.
2007 was also the first year since 1998 that GM offered replicas of the Indy 500® Pace Car to the public. For just under $67,000, enthusiasts could enjoy the six-speed manual version with the Z51 performance package (distinguished by a stiffer suspension), state-of-the-art navigation and sound system. For about $1,225 more, customers could opt for the six-speed, paddle-shift automatic transmission.
Approximately 500 pace car replicas were built. Naturally, they featured all the bells and whistles of the car that led the way at Indy on May 27, 2007. The official logo of the Indianapolis 500® was combined with GM's "gold-ribbon" graphics against an Atomic Orange paint scheme. Indy 500® badges appeared on the fenders and on selected locales in the interior, and were even embroidered on the black leather-upholstered bucket seats.
This history-making Corvette® was equipped with a small rear spoiler and sporty silver split-spoke wheels. Residing under the hood, the powerful 400hp LS2 V-8 that provided punch to complement the pizzazz of the car that led the pack at the Indy 500® in customary Corvette® style.
Franklin Mint Precision Models is proud to present this finely detailed and accurate reproduction of the 2007 Corvette® Indy 500® Pace Car.
