Here's one emergency vehicle that's always on call for excitement. Re-creating an actual Heritage Softail® Classic produced exclusively for active duty and retired firefighters. Fine-tuned with operable steering, functional suspension, workable drive belt and kickstand, it’s decked out in fire engine red with authentic firefighting badges.
Sirens screaming, pulsing lights punching the night sky...these are the familiar sights and sounds that tell us our brave firefighters are heading to another blazing emergency. But now, another sound can be heard, the rumble of a cross-over dual exhaust.
This Heritage Softail® Classic model features a bold profile with full fenders, large chrome headlight, air-adjustable suspension, detachable windshield and weather-resistant, lockable saddlebags. These unique bikes have their own gas tank insignia, distinguishing them from other models. The 2008 Heritage Softail® Classic comes with the new Twin Cam 96Btm engine. The new power train emerges as a result of the biggest new-engine program in the history of Harley-Davidson®. While maintaining the essential look and feel of the traditional Big Twin models, the new engine now displaces 96 cubic inches (1,584 cc), a 9% increase, as well as a 17% increase in torque.
Today, the Harley-Davidson® Heritage Softail® Classic Firefighter Special Edition provides a safe, comfortable, smooth ride for which Harley® has long been known. Decked out in Fire Engine Red paint, this bike makes a striking addition to any Fire Department's stable. Now you can add this unique Harley-Davidson® to your collection of genuine Franklin Mint Precision Models.
